If its just a small star in the windshield I would go down to the local auto parts store and spend the $7.00 on a kit to repair it myself.

    Thats just me.

you can also just buy a bottle of the windshield repair resin and fill the bullseye or crack its the water that gets in the damaged glass that makes it spider crack, the Windshield glass replacement business I deal with said they use those kits too, so I went out and bought my own.

OP shouldn't have to spend $7 to fix damage someone else caused :)

Or you can help me find what I'm looking for. Or actually read the thread. I mentioned I will get this fixed Monday if I can't locate the company.

This thread is a classic example of internet forums...as you have seen. Everybody wants to tell you everything except what you asked for, then get pissed off when you point that out, then start hatin' on you for pointing it out...happens on all forums. It's just the price you pay to get one or two actual helpful posts in your thread.

Like everyone else here, I have an opinion on how this will/should turn out. If you want to hear it...let me know. As to your original question, I have no idea who that company is...but I do wish you the best in resolving your windshield issue.

I used to work auto glass a few years back. This type of damage typically can fill in pretty well depending on the tech. Clean the chipped glass out. Run resin with some heat on the backside of the windshield. Fills in like butter. Good luck finding the company!

X2 that ding looks like it could be repaired

But you need to get it quick before it fills with debris/dirt or worse the crack expands

I learned my lesson about glass when I had three windows damaged due to a smash 'n grab and the deductible was $50 more than what it cost to replace 3 side windows. Pay more for glass replacement and it'll save you the headache.

Dang, had me for a second. Logo is curved in the link and they are also located in MO, nowhere near CA. :(

EDIT: I see "Team Drivers Springfield To California" at the bottom. So maybe?

Just got a quote for just under $400 for Pilkington glass, dealer said if it's labeled "Toyota" it would cost a bit more. I don't mean to turn this into a replacement cost thread, but anyone know if there is a difference? I know Pilkington is what usually comes standard on these.

So if someone showed up to your home claiming your vehicle kicked up a rock on the interstate and they wanted you to repair it... I'm sure you would just say "no problem buddy let me grab my check book". o_O

If you are that guy please post your address so we can all get our rock chips repaired.

Sometimes the juice just isn't worth the squeeze.

If you drive off the road way into the dirt because you can't control your rig and that dirt is kicked up into a windshield, that's a pretty decent case. But I'm not a lawyer or adjuster and neither are 99% of you guys. That's why this thread is about identification and not repercussions.
