2.7 5m, on mine its somewhere around
3.5 gallons from filled to full mark, doesn't even move the first 50 miles
    3.5 from full to 3/4
    3.5 from 3/4 to 1/2
    3.5 from 1/2 to 1/4
and 3.5 from 1/4 to light on ~17.5 -18 to refill. Usually is about 80 miles per major division average but it fluctuates based on traffic, city driving, hills, and my right foot. Best was ~ 95 miles per(350 miles/13 gallons, gauge was a couple tics above 1/4 mark)

The same shit everyone else has.
100 miles on the first quarter then anywhere between 25-50 on the next 3 quarters.

I’ve never driven a vehicle with a gas gauge that didn’t do that.

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
Highest miles I got from a single tank was 301 when light comes on. I avg about 18mpg. I assume tank wasnt empty. I get less miles each quarter tank.

I have the V6. I assume you get more miles with the 4.

I would say you have described my gas gauge experience to the T also. So I'm on empty right around 300 and the light will come one. So I think I have about 3-4 more gallons left in the tank after that.

I drove a 4runner for many years that would go from full, drive 70 miles to half tank, drive 10 more miles and then you're on empty. But the light would only come on when the tank was actually on empty so I've learned many years ago to go by mileage and not a gauge.

Thanks for the responses guys, glad it's not just my truck! It doesn't actually drive me crazy, my OCD isn't that bad. I've had other vehicles that averaged 25 mpg and it was very satisfying seeing 100 miles per each quarter tank instead of our screwy numbers, haha. I assumed we have a 20 gallon fuel tank and was surprised to learn it is actually 21.1.

I've been averaging 16.5 mpg since installing a steel bumper, averaged about 17.6 on a trip to LA over the weekend but as you can see i was riding around 75mph the whole time. It's going to kill me when i get bigger tires and i average 15.

Even more so at the higher speeds in the pictures. I'm hoping they pass and enforce hands free driving in NC.

    It's not linear.

It is, however, predictable and accurate within the expected discrepancies, so it does its job. Meaning, it's inaccuracy is consistent and repeatable so even though the last 1/4 drops way more quickly than the first 1/4, you know it's going to do that.

Odometer is a more useful gas gauge IMO anyway.

We flew in and rented a car. The ol' Nissan Sentra wasn't gonna get us far off the paved path. I did ford a flooded area with it and 18inches of water haha. So was on hwy 1 mostly all down in big sur area. Did park and bushwack to get to some untouched rocky coastline. It was about a 3/4 of a mile to get to this little vista for lunch. We took the hiking and what not easy this trip b/c my wife is pregnant. We usually fly in with just our backpacking stuff, rent a car and go explore new places but this was more of a baby moon.
Like I said: beautiful country out there. Best lunch spot I've had in a while:

I've been driving since 1973. Never owned, or driven a vehicle that didn't do this. The 1st 1/4 tank lasts longer because there is a gallon or more in the filler hose. The last 1/4 tank would last as long as the 1/2 and 3/4 tank lines IF you actually drove it until you run out of gas. Most of us fill up with at least 2-3 gallons left in the tank. Which is smart for a variety of reasons.
