I have remorse that I didn’t get these wheels. Guess I’ll be paying full price for a set. What color is your truck?

Maybe I missed it but I was pleased/surprised to open the skid plate box and find that the TRD letters are a nice bright red. I thought I had seen photos of grayed out TRD letters or people getting decals to fill in. Is this a newer mode skid?

Yea I think the red letter skid superceded the all grey one for the 18 model year. Got mine put on today:

Just installed mine on my lowered taco that's a pavement pounder. I got it for oil pan protection since the stock splash guard didnt cover anything. This is overkill for my use. Looks great too DBEF0264-12BE-4B2C-8833-4A0EA5BAE51E.jpg

Mine arrived yesterday and the box was in rough shape with the end of the plate hanging out. I think all the bolts are still there, hopefully it goes on with no issue.

Is it possible to still buy a TRD skid plate without the red lettering? Or do the new skid plates with red lettering supersede all of the old ones now?

The red would stick out like a huge sore thumb on my truck.

You can still get one without the lettering, I believe the part number is PTR60-35160. The version with red letters is 35190.

I think 35190 replaces 35160. You may be able to find old stock somewhere.

My only “remorse” is that I purchased the TRD pro wheels and skid about 2 weeks before this special sale .... coulda saved $450 ! Luckily I was able to get 20% off MSRP at the time.

Only thing I have remorse about is not getting the skid plate. Have my TRD Pro wheels getting installed right now.

I'll see if I'm remorseful after I see my wheels installed later today. My local dealer that did not participate in the sale said they sell their TRD 4runner wheels for $149 a piece. Would have been a decent deal even without the sale. I had to order mine form another dealer to get $129

What dealer was it that would do $149 on the 4Runner wheels? I talked to my local dealer and they quoted $215 a piece and not participating in the sale.
