looks so heavy what do you anticipate the weight will end up being at?

 

What did you do for the windbreak in front of the panel? Planning on setting up the same panel on a hardshell rtt with industrial velcro as well.

 

I put a 1/2”x1/2” strip of aluminum angle adhered by vhb tape right in front of it.

 

Worked a lot on the interior yesterday and today. I have the drivers side storage done and can’t be happier with the amount of storage.m, currently have 3 chairs and two tables in it.

Next steps are kitchen and counter tops, then should just be the finishing touches.

Worked more today on the kitchen and countertops. I used 3/8 hdpe for the counter tops. Just need some more bungee cord ends, and another flat pack from front runner.

 

Loving your build! Can you share a little about what you used to make the rack bracket- i have an old set of 1a racks and love the mount you made- what did you start with seems you just drilled holes in an already extruded piece- any more info would be appreciated before i start trying to bend the shape. thanks

 

Worked on the kitchen some more this week, have storage for my cups and french press. I just have some small work to finish up my folding water tap.

 

I'm just getting started into planning a very similar build, and I have learned a lot from reading your posts. I'm new to the t-slot aluminum, so I'm sure I'm overthinking it, but how did you get the drawer slides attached to the t-slots? It looks integrated well, but I'm assuming the drawer slides weren't built specifically for the t-slots, so I'm trying to figure out how to attach them.

I want my cooler to slide out the front of the rack instead of out of the end, but I don't think that would be very different if I could just understand how to integrate the drawer slides and the t-slots.

So I just used t nuts on the slide, so it just connects to the two channels on the inside and outside of the slide

 

Just pounding our small things today, have two fire extinguishers mounted, checked on the dish station, and also swung by Slee Offroad to pickup a trasharoo.

 

Finished up the faucet, not quite the way I would like it but I’ll see if I can fix it before expo, also added some decals I’ve had laying around. And I added leashes to the solar panel.

 

More small details today, and retesting all systems to get ready for expo. Tested a small rechargeable usb fan, added a weather station for inside / outside temps / added sheets.

 

Had a great time at expo west, while I was there I got to swing by the shop and get some upgrades that are now in all the campers, mostly being new wood and push handles for the roof.


I am also making more bottom floor panels to facility a toddler sleeping downstairs.

Interested in what a build like this cost’s. I know the frame for a tacoma LB sized truck is shy of 8Grand. Looks like another 8Grand was put into it though! Looks amazing!

Had another great trip out, now I have some more interior tweaks to make. trying to make the camper more toddler sleep friendly.


Also changed out my rear shocks to handle the load better. Went with bilstein 5160s as a middle ground between basic shocks and 2.5” remote reservoirs.
