Removing dealer pinstripes - how to?

    Get a friggin magnifying glass and look at it close -- with the glass you should be able to tell easily. This ain't rocket science!

    heh i ran my finger and nail over it at the end of the stripe when I was looking at them - I'm 99.9% they are paint because it didn't budge.

    Yeah I dunno why they like to take it upon them selves to add the stripping. When I got my old SR5 it came back from detail with it. Salesman was excited about it. I wasn’t. removed it a week or so later.

    wd-40 would is my choice of adhesive remover. Acetone will work, but WD-40 is much easier on your hands and probably your clear coat as well.

    OP has not been back to tell us whether they were paint or tape. Nor has he told us what the outcome was. Oh well!!??

    He is either f’ing with the pin stripes to get them off, or driving around not caring about them.

    Btw, I heard pinstripes add HP, increase MPG, and chicks dig them.

    I would be surprised it was painted. I had them on mine and used a 3m wheel and drill. Amazing the time and effort saved for $20. I was concerned about damaging the clear coat but it left no marks.
