No Dark Horse didn't do any work on my truck but i did get a really great quote for price on ARB Front and rear bumpers, lower than i can find anywhere else around the area.

Have had a few friends been reached out too. Can't believe they are doing that and expecting so many people to just give it all away. Like read a fucking map. Do some of your own research.

Plus half the fun of doing any offroading is exploring. Going out and just seeing what's there.

YOU HAVE TO PAY NOW?!?! BAHAHA

Gotta admit the guy has a good money making scheme going. I followed Overland Bound on a few media platforms but found the imformation they talked about to be kind of useless, for me at least. Thought about joining the club but decided its not for me.

Half the fun? That's ALL the fun! I'm lucky enough too have this thread of information too help me on my weekend adventures.

I get it, its one thing that too disclose a great camping location, or a spot on a river too a small group of people (Tacomaworld) but its a whole other thing disclosing it to the rest of the country.

Montana has so many great off-roading, and hiking trails that are kept secret that its a shame not everyone will get to see them in person. But that's just it. We can't tell everyone where the good spots are otherwise those spots will get over run with people who don't care about the area. Whether it be leaving trash at a trail head, or damaging a trail because they couldn't wait to get out there. There's a level of respect for the environment that's needed from EVERYONE before someone discloses the location of those secret valleys with the greatest view.

I don’t care for money making scams like Overland Bound etc. There are others too.
OB also makes a lot of ca$h by selling these numbered emblems. I believe it’s part of the $25 membership fee ? You get an emblem the size of those Trail Rated Jeep emblems. They are numbered and those that have them like to see who has a “Low” or unusual number like 1976 or some other dumb shit. To me ..... it’s fuckin weird shit ,
that I happened to see in person.
But that’s just me. I believe sites like these are helping stupid people do stupid things in places they don’t belong.
The world has gotten much smaller since the internet and smart phones and Google and Instagram, and FartBook and and :notsure::jerkoff:

That and it's right in front of you. I'm not spoon feeding you shit. Get out there and find it yourself. Meet people. Talk to them. They will tell you but only if you're actively looking.

It amazes me how much the instalanders just drive by stuff. Or walk by it. Just not opening their eyes. And lazy too, they don't want to pour over topo maps or dig through random forums with a random photo here and there and hints of descriptions.

Can't wait for the next fad to take over whatever it may be.

Snowed here all day haha so not for a while. Roads are a disaster right now with muck. High elevation was supposed to get 18"

Google earth is your friend! That's how I've found most of the places I go. That and the random "I wonder where that road goes?" detour.

@Blackdawg @MTgirl exactly!! I ask the thread at LEAST once a month on trails that I should check out and yeah I do ask for places and ideas but I have no problem with people pointing me in the right direction. I ask for an area, I google it and look it up on google earth and I use onX too make sure I don’t cross any boundaries.

Cascade county 4x4 and cmon 4x4 are meeting up for a run on Saturday in the high woods. A little far from you though. I'll be joining them. I joined a few Montana offroad groups on Facebook and they stay pretty active during the summer

Frontier 4×4 in Helena is having a run Saturday. It goes past ringing rocks between Boulder and Whitehall. Sounds like fun I might make it. Screenshot_20190411-135135_Facebook.jpg

They used to be a good group but some of the long term members got ousted and the guys that took over are jerks. Went on a run with them a while back and half the group was running on bare tires in the snow. The other half were running off trail and on private property tearing shit up. Not exactly a group you want to be associated with anymore. @Kyitty

Never mind. Looked at their Facebook page. They have yearly dues and all this stuff to be apart of their club. Too fancy for me. I am out.

Looked at their Facebook page. No thank you. I just want to have fun offroad not be part of a huge group. Not going anymore.
This doesn’t look like “fun” to me.

You don't have to be a member to go in fact you have to go on a couple of runs before you are even eligible to be a member . I'm not sure how many will go. Last month they didn't get that many but that could have been because the weather.
