Are you guys confusing these with the y pipe? These pieces replace the stock exhaust manifolds, pre- y pipe.

I don't remember us posting about our own y pipe

 

These would work with the y-pipe. You wouldn't replace the down pipes without replacing the y-pipe also. HTH

Are you really noticing gains?

 

4.56 are 8” rear end only. Auto non off road / pro trucks.

 

Your down pipes don’t appear to be ceramic coated like the URD pipes are. Are you going to be coating them inside and out and are they made of 304 stainless and mandrel bent like the URD ? I was holding off on the URD pipes until yours came out but would like to see dyno numbers on each before deciding on which to buy. Thanks.

 

correct and now I have a 9" rear end. went with 4.56s b/c of the 8" originally, but when that grenade anyway, I beefed up the rear.

 

These will delete the cats? Or will they bolt between the block to the first cat?

I believe so at least my but dyno where my wallet rests wants to tell me it is an improvement. I noticed an immediate loss of low end but the top end seemed to just go better. I installed a resonator in front of my muffler that also reduced the pipe size and that seemed to get my bottom end back.

 

It looks like they replace the secondary cats just like the URD system I have that includes the Y pipe.

 

Sounds common on these trucks anytime the pipe is widened or more flow is increased, torque is lost.

These trucks have plenty of HP, they need more torque to be more powerful

no you're not getting what this is. these are revised exhaust manifolds, and they sit before the Y pipe and secondary cats. the URD version does delete the first cats. don't think Mat has commented on the first cats yet on these, has he?

 

They do indeed delete the primary cats.

 

And the quietness
