    Truck looks good man! What leaf packs are running in the rear?

    I might just set them back to how it came and maybe add two threads on the driver side. Hopefully levels me out and don't have to adjust.

    I asked the shop to double check the order, I had asked to go 700 springs right off the bat, which is why I am not liking how this looks. I am wondering if somehow I got the wrong springs in my order. I have a bumper, skids, and synthetic winch, but I wasn’t expecting this much preload to be needed

    You can check the spring itself. It will have a part number on it to indicate the rating.

    No markings of any kind that I can see. Now they may be hiding in the back. I will have to do an inspection with the truck up on blocks to really make sure.

    Thanks!! Yeah I’m super happy with it, drives awesome too. I’m running OME Mediums, I did a U bolt flip and new bumpstops since I was in there, too.

    Thanks everyone for the advice on what to look for. They did toss on the wrong springs, which explains the ridiculous preload. It’s gonna get made right though.

    That makes a lot of sense now. Glad to see that you figured it out and getting it taken care of. I’ve never driven on 700s but sounds like from the feedback on here that they’re a little on the stiff side. Have you thought about 650?

    I figured with as much armor as I went with, the 700s would be better. Since I’m prolly gonna get a crash course experience in swapping springs, I can always change out later if it’s too rough. Or mount a machine gun turret for the extra weight

    Hope it works out. I’ll be swapping mine out for 650s this upcoming week and have similar weight up front so I’ll report back on how much preload I’ll need and how the ride is

    Update: got the 650s on and left it on the same thread count 8-9 drivers, 8 passenger to see what it would be like. With steel front bumper, winch w/synthetic rope, TRD Pro front skid, sliders, and a few small weight add-ons (Factor 55 fairlead & flatlink e, 6 led pods, etc) I was sagging on 600s with same thread count to barely 1” of lift from stock height. With 650s at the same thread count got me back to 2” lift total which levels out with my rear so it was perfect. Ride didn’t stiffen up that much more at all except when hitting a dip or bump, the suspension feels more firm but in a good way meaning preload and spring rate helps suspension push down to get back to ride height. Before with the 600s, felt like I was riding a wave when hitting a dip or bump with all that weight. Almost like it was fluctuating up and down too much afterwards to get back to ride height if that makes sense. Hopefully this helps others on decision making depending on how much preload you want and lift height. Personally I would recommend not going over 8-9 threads on any spring. Too much preload=crappy ride. So pick your poison depending on desired height and weight.

    When you say ride didnt stiffen up that much except when hitting a dip or a bump, can you describe what you mean? Is it kind of a jarring experience that you can hear through the cab and feel in the truck, with a loud thunking noise?

    There’s no noise or jarring experience at all. I think what you’re describing is when someone puts too much preload. I listened to what Kings recommended which is not to go above 8-9 threads. I actually have a positive experience since the suspension pushes down quicker vs slower with all the weight up front. Overall ride is really smooth with 650s and my weight especially since I swapped tires to 285/70 C load too.
