Depends on your area. San Francisco minimum wage is $15.00 an hour, CA minimum wage is $11 I think.

Last time I checked, Pick-n-Pull starts at $20. Since this is a managerial program I'd expect it to be similar.

 

Oh man, by the time I graduated I had so much of both it was insane. I was always glad the the volunteer hours were much higher than the work hours

 

No no no. I didn't say employers don't prefer hands on time - of course they do. Just the way i read it, sounded like you were going to give school the middle finger at some point to work at the boneyard. My bad. You know how the net works, sometimes hard to understand what someone is trying to say.

 

'Tis why Im gonna start inquiring with potential future employers now, even tho I still have a year left in school. Gotta start building relationships with people that may sign your checks one day.

 

Oh I definitely know school is the priority, even if I don't end up working for them full time I still can put I was in a high level managerial program on my Resume. That program only lasts a few months.

 

It's all about connections too. I was offered a really good job at FedEx doing maintenance from my neighbor who was the foreman at the local warehouse, but I couldn't accept it at the time because I wasn't 18. He told me he offered it to me because he always say me working on the truck in the driveway and that one time he caught me welding on that 5th wheel hitch.

 

Here ya, when I read work full time I don't understand how one can continue a full time edu. Then again, you can always drink red bull. Cool dude.

 

My dad went to school for Agriculture, we were about to be farmers. Now he's a chemical engineer for an automotive company.
