    They're used in deletion of the SAI system on trucks equipped. Allowing the removal of hardware/plumbing related to the system, freeing up space and eliminating a potential point of failure that puts the truck in limp-mode for no good reason.

    Ultimately I'd say the truck is more reliable without that system.. But SMOG officials would disagree.

    That would be the only "con".

    I already have the 12-15 URD longtubes so I'll need a block-off, but wouldn't it be possible to install headers from a prior year Tacoma without the air injection tubes once the SAIS is removed? I'd think the headers should be the same minus that tube...then you wouldn't need a block off plate.

    I think that would be true as well. However, I already bought 12-15 URD headers so that is the deciding factor for me. Then you could probably get a prior 12 valve cover as well.

    Yes, I intend to install pre-SAI headers into my 2015 very soon, eliminating the need for the plates. However for those who already have SAI headers or manifolds these will allow you to delete that system without having to replace hard-parts you've already invested in.

    Yessir! @JustDSM cal'd like @loginfailed.
    I started with @loginfailed's tune from a couple days ago. Huge shout to them for getting me up and running.
    Throttle map is awesome! Not jerky at all but much more linear than stock. It really makes it feel much more like having a throttle cable. Gone is the sluggish mid pedal response.

    I havent hopped on it yet, started leaning out a bit at 7 to 8psi. Things got better as ecu learned trims but I have some logging and tuning to do.
    I also slaved in my sc intake so I can tune for the intake once....unless we go with larger maf tube.

    So say I buy that MPVI2 right now, what else am I gonna need to at least throw a medium tune in the truck just to keep it running safely? Go find a dyno tuner and use credits to tune the truck?

    Or let these guys tune you remotely once they dial it in. The only considerations are different environmental factors where you are but you can log and send tunes with it. Buy the 4 universal credits when it is time to write.

    Oh gotcha. I'll hold off til more tunes are available. Found a mechanic nearby with excellent prices, so prob getting my headers done FINALLY. Will prob pick up a Roostfactor Y pipe and new exhaust someday soon, depending how long the line is haha
