Did you know moths have orange eyes when you shine a light into them?

Was camping in Nevada in early-March, woke up about 2300 from a nice boozy snooze, fell asleep with a headlamp on, so I reach up and click the headlamp on and here's one of these ^^^ on my chest staring right at me.

I don't know what they're called, but they're big bastards, about a 3" wingspan. Gave me a terrible fright.

 

Luckily she got it fixed in time to cook supper.
