That was the end of my terminal leave and last day of service. I was medically separated for a messed up spine after 12 years of service

 

Well damn dude, what percentage did they place you at, if you don’t mind me asking?

 

Total disability was 100%, but I also have blown out knees, ankles, shoulders, hips, sleep apnea and tinnitus

I haven't received my disability letter from the VA yet, though, but I was quoted 97% by my VA rep when I was active

 

OK, it's Thursday night, SA Cars & Coffee hasn't cancelled it yet. Might be damp, but severe weather much more likely closer to me and Austin. So, I am still in. And I have gone back through pages and pages, was it @Beretta4x4 that was thinking of coming down? Meeting up in San Marcos to grab some dive Tacos! I had too many beverages..., maybe.....

I helped dig a small trench at my kids elementary school for the PTOtoday and it about killed me

 

Ha! Not going to happen. I'm documented and receiving care without issues. There's way too many VA programs for there to be any excuse for homeless vets. Every one I've come across was either kicked out for felonies or was lying about their service.

 

2 years ago when I worked at AutoZone they hired a military veteran he was in the army for 6 years and was medically discharged for the tinnitus but I was sitting next to the store manager when they interviewed him and like every sentence he was asking a store manager to repeat himself cuz he's if he said all he could hear was ringing in his ears but since the store manager was also a medically discharged veteran he hired him anyways

 

Last day of leave is May 30th. I plan on doing some exploring until then. For far too long I’ve rushed around and focused primarily on work, but now I’ll take some time to sightsee.

 

Tinnitus won't get you discharged, but screwed hearing will. You don't get very good disability for hearing, though.

But the last I heard of him he he moved to Arizona to be closer to his family and on Facebook he was telling me that he's now an assistant store manager at AutoZone in Tucson

 

Good for him!

Long time ago. Current tanks use turbine engines
