Haha yep! Nice, I really like the look of mini ape bars... maybe I'll pick up a set as soon as I feel like spending the money and time lengthening clutch cable/ brake line to do it. Right now I have drag bars with a 6 inch spacer and its plenty comfortable for me.
I vote keep the tach, its one of those things that is cool to have, but not absolutely necessary

Edit: I dug up this video of my bike. A buddy of mine bought it at auction from Kaplan Motorcycle Museum in Connecticut. Kept it for a year and sold it to me. First thing I did was get rid of that god awful hypercharger lol

I am with you - cool to have and something not offered on all bikes.

I have 8" mini apes but am considering going higher. The brake line and clutch cable were a bit of a pain. I stripped a few screws on the primary changing the clutch cable.

    Ooooooo that's an awesome bike!

Awesome paint scheme and I love the air cleaner/intake. Like a mini bird catcher that you would see on those old muscle cars. I also like the turn outs on the exhaust. Mine go straight back.

Thanks! First thing I did though was take off that hypercharger air cleaner. It definitely is neat though how it opens as you blip the throttle, just thought it was too many moving parts and more restrictive than some others on the market. I still have it if you know somebody that would want it.

Ktm 690e - done. Probably could find a 701sm used around 10k i bet. 70hp out of the box, another 10 with an exhaust and intake. Wheelies anytime you want, go offroad, go on the highway, no expensive plastics. Hands down my favorite bike ive ever owned. The only street bike i would consider at this point would be a duke 1290
The drz really needs a big bore, cam, and fcr. Really how the bike should have came.

I'm surprised the DRZ isn't fuel injected by now, they're refusing to update it I guess :notsure:

They have no reason to. I wouldnt suggest buying one, theres much better bikes out there for close costs in the used market. 500exc would be another top choice.

Really depends if you want street legal from the factory

I raped the piss out of 1 top end, locked a cylinder, threw another on and raped my drz some more. 10k hard miles. Still ran fine when i sold it. But really DRZs are best bought cheap as fuck and sold cheap.

Anyone running a baja designs light kit? Cant decide if i should get the squadron sport or the squadron pro? The pro puts out more light for another $80 but im not sure its necessary either

I put a Cobra PowrFlo intake on mine, thought it was better than having a fully exposed filter.

I have the stock 12" apes off my street bob if you were interested. I'd probably sell them cheap. Wrinkle black powdercoat and have notches for TBW, but you can cut them off or leather them and they shouldn't interfere with the cable throttle.
