    That is a great question. I do not have a backup camera, though I do plan on installing one at some point.

    No issues with my backup camera at night, but I only have one installed since I routed the trailer harness into the other license plate light location. That said, these lights are a lot brighter than I thought they would be!

    I need something like this but without the pigtail connection. To run the lights independently...:(

    Anyone know of something like that ??

    @stealthmode

    Just cut the connector off the pigtail and solder on your own connector to each wire. Not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but there is enough wire there to remove the pigtail and still have room to work. However, if doing so (since you wont have the bulb socket to seal the housing opening) you can simply fill the cavity with silicone to prevent water from getting in.

    also, another member posted a bolt light on here that may be useful. Look at the bottom of the page, there is a box that says "PRODUCTS DISCUSSED IN THREAD" and provides links to 3 different license plate lights discussed in this post.

    Yep just put mine on I was not able to use the little gasket thing between the light in the bumper because my lights were too big. I tried trimming everything I could but I was literally having to stretch the thing around the outside of the light so it looks fine without it no biggie

    Thats odd. It should fit around the outside though. It has a lip around it and sort of snaps around the perimeter of the housing. Did you make sure you trimmed off one alignment tab on each of the new housings as well?

    I will look again tomorrow and double-check a little more into it, but yes I ended up tripping both alignment tabs and had to trim a little bit of the Ring itself out for it to even get the tabs to fit in. But I will look more at it tomorrow and try and take some pics but yes my housing what's bigger than the gasket part even if I tried to it wouldn't really wedge Inn

    So I know somebody wanted to see pics of why my washer behind the light didn't go on..... but I feel I don't need to post pictures but I will accept the dumbass of the day award.

    Apparently those things only go on one way lol and no matter how much you trim them they don't want to go on the other way LOL. So needless to say thank you guys for making me take another look and my washer / grommets Behind the Lights are on:amen:

    I love how subjective things are with cops. "Oh, your lights are dim I'm gonna pull you over" please, define dim to me jerk..... if they wanna pull you over, they'll make up whatever they want to do so.

    Yeah, it gets ridiculous. Granted, there are some phenomenal cops out there, but there's also a plethora of them that are just out fishing for money, looking for any reason at all to squeeze some money out of tax paying citizens.

    Some of my core group of friends are police officers (I’m the degenerate in the bunch) and I can tell you they don’t give a shit about “pilfering money out of tax paying citizens” in town. I live in a small but busy county in Texas and they’re mostly sheriff deputies. They don’t care about writing BS tickets for stuff like the lights or tail light stuff, unless you’re driving like a jackass, what they’re looking for is drugs...

    The State Troopers are the ones that’ll write up tickets for just about anything and everything
