Ill ask for their insurance and see what they say. If insurance claims no fault, then that's it. Not going any further than that.

Same shit happened to me on my 2013 Taco, it was 2 months old and it was my first day of vacation and I was pulling into the beach and a truck coming the other way towards me on a 1 lane rd kicked a rock when he went over the shoulder. I was about to chase him down but there was traffic and i couldn't. I had glass coverage and 1 phone call and it was dealt with.

So I kind of see Rock Transportation Inc so I did a quick search and the one highlighted is the the only company that has current permits and in SoCal. They only have two trucks so I doubt they have a website where we can see pictures of their trucks. Most likely is someone based out of California due to the truck being a day cab.

Great resource. However, it looks like 1 truck and one trailer registered and the truck is a "straight truck" which I am not sure if that terminology fits the bill. That resource is very helpful though. :)

Can you check out Ventura, CA?

Thanks for the read @LivinOnEdge. What's 7 pages could easily be one page of helpful responses. Good luck man :hattip: I'm rooting for you as it seems like you have a very reasonable end goal, which it seems most of these people can't wrap their head around.

Truck company located. This post was correct. AMROCK. Contacted the local quarry and they confirmed it. Thank you for your help for those who gave valuable input.

If you don’t mind, I’m curious on the outcome. Could even pm me or post it in my build thread if you remember.

I'm sure there's a lil tiny sign on the back that says they're not responsible for anything. I had a rock truck come on the highway in Texas that started laying gravel down in front of my wife's brand new Rav4. Called the company & they said good luck they aren't responsible for it. Good thing it had a clear bra on it but still hit some paint & the windshield.

Now I could see a few chunks of gravel but this guy was pretty much losing his load on the pavement!

Owner admitted driving off the path of the road and mentioned "nobodies perfect" and to contact CalTrans since gravel on the side of the road is a "road hazard." Not sure what to make of this. Going to CHP today to file a report for the damage at least.

As I said previously, trucking company is just going to keep pushing blame up the chain unless you can show their vehicle was not in compliance with safety devices, i.e., mudflaps, covered load, etc. I bet my left hand CalTrans will blame the gravel on the latest California storms and are working on it ... CalTrans translation ... go pound sand and file a claim with your insurance.
