I am looking at purchasing a TRD Pro and was wondering what you guys are getting for fuel. Mileage per full tank.

Hmmmmm. It isn't great. I think of it as smiles per gallon. If you can afford a pro, you can afford the gas.

You'd be surprised, there are a lot of car-poor fools out there.

I have a right as a red-blooded American to burn as much gas as I want. I have a 2017 ZL1 that gets better gas mileage on the highway. I don't care about gas mileage anyway. I get what I want. I drive it, I smile in it and go back home. But I get about 21 on the highway to answer your question. Approximately, 17.314 in the city.

Just over 17 around town in traffic and a shade over 19 on the highway. Was a bit better with factory tires/rims. Note that higher speed highway travel will decrease MPG to city ranges. I'm not sure if there's a big difference between Pro and other 4WD models with same size engine?

I get a combined ~17mpg. I will say that most of my highway driving here in AZ is at 75mph and anything over 70mph kills the mileage on this box on wheels.

I was just wondering because I drive 3 hours a day. An hour and a half to work one way and an hour and a half to work the other way

If one is questioning MPG’s on any model Toyota pickup, look into purchasing a Prius. IMO, a trucks mpg’s should not factor into ones buying decision.
But you will most certainly have fun in the model truck you choose to purchase.
Best wishes on your truck purchase.

I can get up too 18-19mpg. All stock except for E-rated Ko2's. Be easy on the throttle and drive 70 on the hwy. Take your time, leave 15 min earlier than you think you'll need. Gets you better gas mileage and calms the anxiety.

I’m getting around 18. I’ve added a ton of weight though. Steel front bumper with a winch, lights, roof rack, canopy shell. Not the greatest but I was expecting worse after all the additions.

I get around 18 to 19 average. That is on 60% highway 65 mph and 40% city low speed around 35-40mph. All with rolling hills. No elevation change over 300ft. In 4x4 as everyone knows you just smile and keep filling the tank.

    All stock.

Hundred percent gotta disagree with you. If MPG's are ultimately your deciding factor, a truck isn't for you -- knowing what it is in advance is just doing your homework.

Why not get a small commuter car for work and a Tacoma for fun?

If it's a pretty flat commute, I don't see why you wouldn't see around 20. When I commute on this 10 mile stretch of relatively flat ground near me, I can get almost 23MPG with my truck..granted it's not a pro but it's lifted (1.5"~) and has slightly larger tires.

Hmmm, with a decision like this, I would instead get a TRD Off-Road and use the difference to purchase a used vehicle that got decent mpg for the commute.

I used to drive one hour to work and then 1 and a half hours home.
