Oil filter woes

    I recently purchase a 2003 Tacoma 4 wheel drive and I really like it. I decided to change the oil and man was finding and getting to the oil filter a challenge. I ended finding it after watching a YouTube video for an oil change on a pre-runner. It is under the alternator. The guy who did the video heard from a friend who had the 4 wheel drive Tacoma that going in from the driver side wheel well was the best bet. He was right about that! You have to remove a couple of the splash/mud guard plastic pins and you can see and access it fairly easily. No biggie if you break a couple, you can get a pack of them at O'Rileys for a couple bucks.
