I like the concept of flexible flares vs. the rigid bushwhackers.

Picked up some new wheels and tires.

Made the jump to 17s as 37s for 16" rims in tires just seem to be fading more and more away.

Then picked up some Stealth Custom Series Ray10s

Hopefully drop them off in the next couple days to get mounted after I machine the wheel hubs down to clear the front Aisin lockouts and the rear Fror drive flanges. Then drop in some balance bbs and should be ready to mount.

Trying to clear some shop time, and a buddy to help with get the diamonds mounted as they are just about ready to go now.

    ToyRyd...
When I had my SCS F5's, the Aisin hubs and Diamond full float rear hubs cleared without any machine work.
    Just an FYI...

Only thing I can find online is that the FJ80 guys can clear the F5s but have to machine the lip of Ray10s. Maybe get lucky since pickup aisin hubs vs fj80 fulltime flanges?

Idk, but SCS does have on their website that the wheels will not be a direct fit on locking/free wheeling style hubs.

I just went through your build to verify what axles you have, I was thinking you had the 9.5 rear... now seeing you have the 8.0, the wheels should fit over the FF hubs, same for the front. Test fit to verify.

I asked scs when I was loooking for wheels and was told only f5s clear the locking hubs. Everything else needs to be machined and reason I got racelines. Hope that helps.

Hmm, not doubting you at all but for myself, I’m asking SCS, why would that be?
From a tooling standpoint, that makes zero sense.

Directly from vin himself. They’re just wheels from overseas. Fit multiple kinds of vehicles with many designs like them.

They fit and wheel spacers are gone! Now I really need the diamonds in to help the turning radius :D

Small update, got some custom lines for the rear 4runner calipers.

Talk about close...with both copper washers installed on the banjo, it had to be started without the caliper mounted on the axle. But fits so all that matters.

Now just working on where to route the lines that'll clear the spring perches and still be up high to prevent rocks and sticks from grabbing them. Bought some weld on tabs and stainless steel zip ties for mounting.

I was thinking if I fuck up my hard lines trying to do the shock relocate, I may go this route.

I bought some line from NAPA to attempt to bend some nice lines. Nope lol....and the money for a nice brakeline bender is $$$. So a few welded tabs and braided stainless is the way to go.
