Is that their level III plates? Their site doesn't show prices. Is there any way to adjust the plates up and down and side to side?

I recently received the 5.11 carrier and liking it. No adjustments were needed for my body. I already have some AR500 plates but want something lighter some day.

I got it from Kota outfitters. They had a killer deal on ceramic plates but they sold out in mins. So i got this $170 shipped deal instead. The carrier is a large and i might be closer to a medium so ill have to play with the straps. Each plates weights like 8lbs but like i said im a nood and just getting into armor.

Digging around online the coating is bedliner so IDK if that means its anti spalling.

    Bedliner should help with spalling

Go to your local police outfitter or military supply store and try some different carriers

The plates should sit nicely on your chest and not hang down in front of your belly button

Thanks for the tips. This carrier def hangs low. Lol I still plan on wearing it around so I can get used to the weight. Any recommendations on higher end carriers? I like the looks of the Mayflower APC assault carrier.

I've heard Varusteleka makes great gear, if "made in the USA" isn't a requirement for you.

Nope def not. lots of exposed chest area. Once I get my cheap setup working right ill branch out into better gear. FWIW this carrier is a large. Im 5'11 160 lbs. When I buy Russian gear I usually go with a 39 in chest but im prob smaller. Im im guessing im a medium.

I don't understand why a carrier wouldn't have a method to adjust/secure plate position inside. My 5.11 has four velcro straps per plate to put it right where you need it. I have some kind of generic carrier that allows plate positioning although not as easy to setup as the 5.11

Hold on let me take it off and look. Lol. It didnt come with directions the site I linked is an overstock type deal from what I read.

Like i said im a noob but i dont see any way to adjust it other than the shoulder straps and id have to over max the shoulder straps to get it even close to right.
Not the best pic but this is from the back going through the bottom. Im holding the pouch containing the plate. I dont see any adjustment straps.

    From the front looking down.

Keep in mind this is a $70 carrier.

Sako 75 Hunter chambered in 300wm.

I was a little anxious about the kick, but it's an older heavier rifle, and I could shoot the 150gr stuff all day, it's such a dream to shoot.. The 180gr has some more punch to it, but not uncomfortable for a few rounds.

Came with a 2.5x fixed tasco scope, likely older than me(they definitely don't build then like this anymore), that I've already pulled off and stuck on my Sks/Ati.

Trying to figure out what kind of glass I want to put on it for now. My local range maxes out at 500, but I doubt that'll keep me happy for long..

Thanks thats what i figured. I got the carrier so i could play with the plates. My fiancee works at a college campus so my original idea was to put a plate in a backpack for her.....but im having to much fun wearing them.

I know people who have modified carriers like yours to hold plates in place...a little stitching and some webbing should do the trick
