Someone hit my car today while it was parked and ran off without a note.

This vehicle is still 2 months new to me even though it’s a 2017. Only 25k miles on the clock.

Damage is very minimal. The lower bumper clips broke off and was on the ground when I came to the car. The fog bezel May have broken clips as it is loose in the bumper. I planned on pulling the lower spoiler so I can careless if they replace that or not. Maybe the cost of it can cover my deductible?
I have been accident free for over 10 years and my deductible is only $100.

Should I just get a check from insurance and get a nice steel bumper? If so are there any that are close to factory looks? Or should I just let the body shop take care of everything?

Will the aftermarket bumper/fogs integrate with the factory switch?

But honestly a steel or aluminum bump isn’t going to go well with front OEM suspension. You’ll get a good about of sagging. Unless you plan on using a winch and stuff a front bumper isn’t the way to go.

Then for sure go with an aluminum bumper or steel

Did it break the tabs on the headlight? The headlight on that side looks off a little.

Hard to tell without taking the bumper off. But the top looks good. Maybe the slight shift in the bumper is making it look off?

I think I’m just going to take it to the body shop and let them work on it. I pay for the extra OE parts on my policy so I may just take it to my local Toyota collision shop.

Steel bumper. Weld a section of railroad track to it.

    You needed a dashcam...

Now you need a steel bumper and a dashcam, and while you are at it, you need a winch to fill in that space in your bumper, and you need a suspension upgrade for it. Get some real off-road tires and wheels while you are at it, too. Those mall tires are going to pop on you when you go offroading with them. :bananadance:

    Go steel.

That’s what I did after somebody hit mine...and I don’t regret it one bit.

Now the shop that did the install...that’s another story.
