    top load washer all the way. The front load ones don't like to have heavy loads and we had to have ours fixed so many times we bought new ones after like 5 years.

    I may have tweaked a few things...
    I’ve had a front loader for almost 10 years now, no major issues. We’re about ready to look at new machines though due to all of the new features and improvements.

    The only problem with ours is that the seal behind the door gets funky and has to be cleaned periodically. But most things require some level of maintenance so not really an issue. I would also recommend getting the bottom option that lifts the unit up to avoid needless bending over. A lot of the new ones offer basic stand or additional washing capability depending on how fancy you want to get.

    Just my two cents as a regular user not an expert by any means.
