Most auto accessory places install sunroofs. The dealer never does them in house. They take them to places like this, then jack the price up on you so they get a cut.

I did it, and it's GREAT. I went with the electric one, and I got it thrown in at time of purchase. Check out my photo section for more picturres.

I have one on our Scion and really love it. They had a recall for it the first or second year, it would stick in the open position. I would buy one for the Tacoma.

would definitely like to have a sunroof again. In summer it's nice to be able to leave it tilted up to help ventilate the car.

I got the truck from Greentree Toyota in Danbury, CT. The sunroof was installed by Skip's Sunroof's in Guilford, CT. He is a very nice guy, and does excellent work.

The dealer quoted $1000.00 for the install, but that's with their markup. I'm not sure what it would cost on your own.

If you notice, though, I did lose the glasses holder in the roof console. The electric sunroof has to be forward more to accommodate the motor and the glass when retracted.

sunroofs are hot when the cover is open. It looks like this one doesn't have a cover.

You are already spending $500 for a pop up sunroof, I would spend another $500 & purchase the electric sunroof.
