Best garage in western Massachusetts for lifts?

Anyone know of a good garage in western mass that lifts Tacoma’s and will treat me right?

That's where I grew up. Owned a home at 17 Montgomery St until 1996 when I moved to Texas where I live today.

 

I can give you the shop and name of where I had got mine done. Very professional and reasonably priced. It is in Easthampton (Florence actually) and he has done many Tacoma lifts in the past. What are you getting done.

 

I had mine done at Rock N Road Outfitter in Auburn MA. Really good guys and reasonable prices

 

I had cap & hitch of westspringfield put in a 3” rough country lift and it was a big mistake should’ve spent the extra cash on pro comp or sky jacker or billstien. Having them remove the lift today (so balise Toyota won’t cancel my warrentee, they said if I take it out they will fix the vibration issue I’m dealing with) and considering still using them however looking on here for other suggestions. I’m not looking for off-road capabilities mostly looks however I want something that’s decent and gonna somewhat help with the potholes in this area. Willing to pay for a quality lift for what I’m looking to do with the truck which is everyday commuting. Pretty sure the vibration is my “needle bearings” which is what I’ve been told a lot. I bought 33” nitto trail grapplers to put on it and they rubbed the upper control arm so I’m thinking about getting new uca’s instead of a spacer. Just want to go to a garage that knows how to make my Tacoma lifted 3” and able to fit my 33’s without adding a spacer.

 

I was very surprised the UCA was what rubbed and the wheel well was fine with the 3” lift. I see a lot of people on hear talking about a cab chop I don’t think I will need one but hey with a new lift I guess you never know

 

33" tires on a 2016 without a lift is rough. When you raise your front past 2.5 inches you want to get a aftermarket uca for more articulation. Let me ask you, in all seriousness, what is your total budget.....lift, ucas, install, everything. It will give me a direction to point you towards and also focus on vibes as well. My total budget is whatever is required in order to sustaine as much gas mileage as possible while lifting the truck CORRECTLY and not in a way that’s going to put a hurting on the rest of the truck I’m willing to pay for good quality products and service. Already own the 33’s so they are going on one way or the other! Just want it done right!!!

 

That being said also remember off-road capabilities is not what I’m looking for just looks and protection from the potholes in Massachusetts are my main concerns

A lot of people at TW went through her to get their lifts. Go to the website and browse around a little to give yourself some ideas from budget build to wow. Then call her and have a good conversation about what you want to do. They are out in California and they have free shipping as well as the best prices. She is extremely knowledgeable and will set you up with everything you will need. The next thing is to get back in contact with me about the shop in Florence so you can make an appointment to get it put on. The cool thing is that his shop is open for you to watch, learn, and help if you want. It took me about 6 months of research before I spoke to Marie and then she reiterated everyone of my conclusions which could have saved me 6 months. She will work within your budget and get you exactly what you need. Before you get it installed, you will also need a ecgs bearing to replace the needle bearing in you driverside front diff to eliminate and front clunking that tacomas are known for after you lift them. Mine is fully offroad capable and even though I dont have 33's I will soon and my lift will accommodate them without issue.

The garage I’m working with now didn’t even know what the needle bearing was and based on the amount of people telling me that was the issue, I was certain that was the issue I ran into. I told him I’ve seen a lot of people online talking about a needle bearing replacement that fixes my issue and he had no idea what I was talking about and claimed he lifts Tacoma’s all the time and he’s never ran into that issue. Where can I get a ecgs bearing and can that garage put that in for me? Thanks again for the information! Greatly appreciated!

 

If MPGs are important to you bigger tires an lift is going to kill those really quick like 15-16mpgs just trying to let you know before you go doing everything.

 

I live, work, and go to college in the same town right now which is how I only have 21k miles on my 2016. Mpgs are important obviously but I think your estimate might be a little overstated for the exact kit I’m getting. I’m not getting a huge 600lb 6” lift with big drop down brackets etc. I’m only replacing my suspension with different shocks & coils and putting a few blocks and maybe some aftermarket UCA’s to fit my tires. Not gonna do that much of a hurting I don’t think it’s the tires that will do the most however I’m willing to eat the cost of whatever having these beauty’s on is!

 

I got 32in tires an a 3 in lift. MPGs went from 20 down to 16. Before I put the lift on I had the same tires and I went down to 17-18. It will happen, especially with those tires aggressive treads and they are a heavy.

 

Lmao I thought you were saying the lift and tires was going to make the trucks mpg’s drop 15-16. Like as in from 20 to 5 lol My bad I’ve had a long day hahahaha

 

It’s all good. You should expect to get 15-16 MPGs after it’s all said an installed
