    So not removing them anymore. Might be time to unbolt the hab and replace the caps.

    Gotcha! I don't have a fancy new 3rd gen so I can only talk to the 2nd. :)

    Welp, yet again I underestimate how far out the strut gets when opening the tent, and it still doesn't clear. This is getting frustrating

    Reality is these are not airtight no matter what so Any improvement would be minor for the amount of work isn’t worth the effort.

    I have one of the first, picked up a few weeks befor Ron. My seals have been a dream with not much water or dust intrusion. I am thinking about putting the caps back on for two main reasons;

    1. To implace a wearable item between the bedside/fender and the Hab, to slow down any premature wear of painted then rusting metal surfaces. Think cartilage.

    2. It’ll give me something to do with the bedrail caps taking up valuable space in my tiny ass garage.

    Mostly #2 :D

    @URBIKESUCKS sad to see you go. It’s like we grew up together, all the waiting and staying before delivery.

    Thanks, it just starts to get exhausting doing all this problem solving. I ordered some 6 degree shims and then I'll have to add longer studs to the awning.

    Went from a 966sqft heated garage with 100a service, two drops for the welder in front and rear half, exhaust/air venting and, about 14’ of work benches, pretty finished walls and epoxy floor. Plus a 58x16’ fenced storage area with drive through gate.

    Now I have this.

    1E7B130B-64AB-4E63-87E4-A20EDA22317A.jpg

    There is pallet racking for my tools in front of the mini, and that’s about all the space I have.

    :(
