That's only 45 minutes from me. Wanna tag team some camping practice this weekend?

Normally I'd say hell yeah, but this deal is put on by my in-laws and I think I'll be busy keeping family entertained.

I am pretty sure I have rode in Smokey soley in Arkansas and almost positive that I have not had the change to at Barnwell yet...

    Which part is baby twister?

Yeah, I don't remember you ever being in the rig at Barnwell. Bring your camera along for some glamour shots and we'll go for a rip.

Baby twister is on the right before you get to the main washout.

Yea, pretty sure I have never been along at Barnwell. I will have the camera and the new phone which takes just as good as pictures I think and is easier to use so I am down!

There is so many parts of twister, i would have to be shown which part in person, ha.

I like the entire twister trail. it's a good trail for the guided runs as it has a little bit of everything.

Doesn't look like the official website has been updated yet. They typically post the attending vendors one by one on FB, so keep an eye on that.

I'll be there of course, but is there anyone in particular that you're looking for?

Just curious, I am always interested in seeing well built rigs to give me ideas and products for the future! Plus I may have some pocket money that needs a new home...

Can we start talking about specifics for first timers like me?

    What to expect?

    When to arrive? Leave?

What to bring, what not to bring?

    Good camp spots?

Which trails to watch out for (trail stripes, body damage, driveline damage, etc.)?

What else would/did you want to know your first time?

    1. A good time with options for all levels of builds and experience.
    2. Arrive when you can starting from when the gates open Thurs and leave by the time the park closes on sunday. Thursday is prabably the most relaxed day as everyone has not arrived and nothing is scheduled for the event this day. Saturday has something going on to watch or participate in basically all day and by this day everyone who hasnt arrived and is coming will arrive.
    3. Bring plenty of beverages of your choice and what ever else you need to be happy camping, ie tent sleeping bag food for breakfast and lunch or anything else.
    4. People will pack the main camp site but it can be fun to meet others camping near you, It also has bathrooms near by and is the closest to the main pavilion. The campsites farther away tend to be filled by different groups and the TTR camp is for TTR members(They are the group that puts this event together so this campsite is going to be pretty full).
    5. Vehicle damage is really more on the driver than the trail IMO. Pin strips could happen on a lot of the trails. Body or driveline damage will likely only happen on harder trails with a 4-5 rating but it could happen on 2's and 3's. If your stock I'd stay to 1-2 stars. Most if not all 3's should be safe and even some 4's are doable with basic armor upgrades but it all depends on the conditions of the trails and weather. With all this rain going on now and that has through the winter some easy 3 may become or have become more like 4's. Same for 2 becoming more like 3's. If the trails are wet a everything becomes a lot more difficult and damage chances increase. I havent been to BMRA since last years jambo so I"m not sure what trail conditions are currently like. Best recommendation would be to run in the trail runs put on for the event based of experience(Easy/moderate/hard)or find people to run trails with that know the park and can lead you so you dont end up on a 4 thinking your going on a 2.
