No pics for this cuz it's hidden of course, but installed the ********* component kit yesterday. Easy install. Cost - around $350 or so. I'm only running an Alpine head unit with a small 45 x 4 Alpine amp. Install was pretty easy.

Initial thoughts: Highs and mids are greatly improved. Bass, a little to be desired. I'm not looking for a "thumper" but I did grow up in the era where I used to make ported boxes with 15's and amp racks. I guess I just set my expectations a little too high. But then again, how much should I actually expect out of 6.5's lol!

+1. It will look much cleaner with the all black theme you have going on.

    Bunch of Basic Taco mods.
Suddenly coming to the conclusion I grew up when I wasn’t looking.

Old me, new car: sound system, wheels, suspension, exhaust, raise Hell.

Now, new Tacoma: Unifilter mod, double and triple check all fluids, bought a phone mount for long trips, need to polish some little rust spots on the running boards.

Well damn. I Found these OEM headlights for 40 bucks. Thought it would be a fun weekend project - low risk, high reward. They were fogged, but I’ve restored my headlights before and I wasn’t concerned. Again, OEM, 40 bucks. I’ve been sanding these things for hours and I can’t get the tint out. Yellow and blue cloud through and through.

Do I keep sanding or throw them in the garbage? Not very confident I’m going to get to a level that’s not UV damaged. Bummer.

Just picked this up and had to do a dry run today. I know it's not as cool as the roof ones but this will do for the boss lady and me.
