grease it all! crawl under and listen while someone turns it a tad.... or try lifting it up and doing it.?

The drinking problem is probably worse than the squeak but at least you rock it like it's normal.

Just to be clear, What's making the awful sound? Your Dad or your truck?

 

I think you put down the drink for a while.. give it a few months, maybe see a counselor

 

I feel your pain. My wife drove my truck and now it's making THIS weird sound:

So I located the sound guys. It’s coming from the front drivers side CV boot. Any ideas on what to do next?

Dealer. Warranty issue. If not then maybe needs to be rapacked with cv joint grease

 

I shipped my tacoma overseas so I’m here in the Middle East. No more warranty lol.

But yeah I guess I’ll go to my local Toyota dealership.

 

Ok so went to Toyota and they said the lower ball joint needs to be replaced.

They only sell the whole arm. There’s another mechanic that has a Japanese after market ball joint. Should I do that you think? Thanks guys. Sorry if I’m being annoying.

New ball joint going in now.

 

Oh man good luck. Letting my father use any of my cars is like the kiss of death for the car. The engine blew up on my first car that, while he was driving it. He forgot to shift out of second gear. He hit a deer in my other car.

Ok so ball joint is in and all is perfect. Horrible sound is gone.

Worth getting an alignment you think ?

 

The wise ones say to get alignment anytime you tear into the steering linkages

 

Also, wonder why your ball joint went bad. Wear and tear or bad angles?
