What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I'm not even mad I bought them 2 weeks before the TRD sale

Mounted my @Mobtown Offroad sliders. One man job

 

A few acceleration / decelerations from 40 - 10, then 35 - 5, while trying your best not to come to a complete stop. Then, continue to cruise around without stopping if possible to let them cool. That’s about it.

 

Installed the hammer hangers from @ARCHIVE

For anyone complaining about removing those rivets, clearly has never removed rivets before. Ten min max per head and they were out.

Overall, it’s time consuming task. Difficult, no.

 

You can say that again. They were sitting in my office for weeks now.

Got the towers and shocks, still waiting on my new leaf pack. Once that gets here, I’ll get on the relocation job.

Replaced my uca boot today after finding a small tear while re greasing.

Finally put in new driver and passenger wheel bearings.

 

Got the POP and Lock tail gate lock in..

 

Installed some lights on front bumper. Light bar will go on next

Reinforced the bed caps and bolted my bestop rails to the caps in preparation for my new bed bars and bedslide. The constant building/wrenching is almost over!!! for now...

It’s the DV8 Off-road bumper, pretty Similar to the eBay one.

 

The dv8 Bumper is the eBay Bumper. Bought mine on eBay and picked it up at the dv8 warehouse

 

I’ve only been waved at once, drove two hours North through a small township and an old man in his tundra waved at me. Made my day

 

Buy a Fumoto valve... No mess. Your welcome. And Tacomas are SO easy to change the oil.

 

Today I changed my Rotors and brake pads, and painted my front hub caps flat black. (Probably shoulda done satin). Loving the red TRD pads, tho.

I never realized how easy a brake job really is. I'll never pay another shop to do this, never. Plus, I know it's done right when I do it.

11 months ago I paid Tire Works to do it.. they lied. 100%. My rotors were 100% not a year old. Those fools straight up swapped the pads m stole my cash. Unbelievable. They used zero brake grease, and it never felt right.

Today, my setup is clean, smooth, and brakes like a champ!
