What do you think of the stanchion hit? I don’t see how someone could think what Kadri did, no matter the point of contact, was a bigger deal than the hit that proceeded it.

When Kadri is leaving the ice you can see Andersen give him a nod a pat on the legs for standing up for Marleau. Honestly I feel Kadri did nothing wrong other than not putting DeBrusk out of his misery.

 

My dad is a huge Sens fan and I used to watch them a lot when he was in his prime. He was never a fighter because his reach would likely result in either a penalized beat down or him falling over like a baby giraff.

I like Chara as a player, but he forced Campbell to resign over that hit because it exposed a pretty huge conflict of interest that still leaves a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths.

BTW DeBrusk did not go through concision protocol, so he’s a lying piece of shit. I’m sure once Kadri is suspended he’ll be ready for game 3.

Sean Avery has the same opinion, the only thing Kadri did wrong was hold back from taking DeBrusk out for the series.

 

Just frustration man, DeBrusk intentionally kneed Kadri and tried to kill Marleau but the only team that’s going to be down a player is the Leafs. I get it, he’s a repeat offender and the NHL is making an example of him, but it still sucks and makes little sense to me why DeBrusk is getting the media pity, even though I know his dad is on the Sportsnet/CBC crew. I wish Kadri had actually of done something worthy of missing the series.

Knee on knee hurts man, if you’ve ever taken a knee on knee hit you probably know it hurts enough to drop you whether you’re injured or not.

Spoken like a true leafs fan. Take off your blue goggles for a second. Had it been DeBrusk on Kadri you would have been crying for a lifetime suspension and an assault with a weapon investigation. That was bushleague.

Even Brian Burke (who loves Kadri and even drafted him) said that was a selfish play that lost the team a chance to come back.

Brian Burke is an idiot, right up there with Avery for intelligence. I will agree though that Kadri’s suspension will hurt the team since he’s gone for the series given the in person hearing. I think we’ll see a Raffe Torres level suspension which is nuts IMHO.
