    2017 Gray Tacoma TRD
Hey guys - I made the plunge and traded in my sweet 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a 2017, dark gray Tacoma TRD with 11,300 miles. I was looking at GMC Canyon's, nice trucks, but decided to spend a little more for the Tacoma. I love the ride the solid feel of the Toyota. Quite a step down in features from the Jeep GC... the TRD model is sparse, but then it is a truck.
I'll be looking for side step rails, some kind of step to climb into the bed and maybe a full drop in plastic bed liner if they make such a thing for this model. I am going to sell my 1999 S10 but liked the roll of strong material which mounted on the top of the tail gate and rolled out for loading stuff like gravel, dirt, logs. The roll had a removable crank handle for unloading the stuff.
Looking forward to getting ideas from other Tacoma owners.

I thought that was standard equipment, especially in all of the TRD trims. Also, welcome to TW!

you shouldnt need a bedliner because the bed is composite. i do lov emy bed mat though, keeps things from sliding and is easy on the knees!

    Like, so many.
Yeah, he’s talking about a bed liner. That’s a no brainer purchase right there. I’m curious what features the Jeep has that the Taco doesn’t.

Not sure how to reply to individual post so - Hey Thunder fist you don't want to go there :), heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, remote start, climate control, power seats, sun roof, garage door openers just to name a few :). But I do like the truck!

SkitchOK I had to laugh at your comment about secret bank account! My wife didn't think it too funny :)

    :worthless:

As other have said no bed liner is needed for the composite bed.

Sometimes I load up gravel or top soil or mulch and don't want to wreck the wheel well covers and mess up the bed. My S10 had a one piece plastic liner that was easily cleaned and hardly showed any marks. I'm thinking maybe just throw a tarp in first.
