We had one of those when I was a kid.
Man, it's serious hard work pushing that.

It would okay for a tiny lawn. Like for a townhouse.
But we had a pretty big lawn, and my Mom mowed it.
Astounding now that I think of it, how tough she was.

I wasn't strong enough to push one until I was a teenager. Not for any distance.
We finally got a power mower by the time I was in High School.
I was grateful, because mowing was my job by then.

Anyway, people of that generation didn't need gym memberships or workout routines.
Life used to entail rather more physical labor.

Yeah... I think I was 6 or 7 in that picture. That was my neighbors yard and mower, I mowed it for them because they were pretty old. My buddy’s dad owned a tavern just down the street and I would take the money they paid me down there and get a Mt. Dew and some candy...Talk about the good ole days!! @SRH
