Anyone know how to dim the camera switch when the lights aren't on? It's always backlit. (I know the lights are on in the pic)

I dont think you can. That particular switch is connected straight to 12v power and not to an existing parking light circuit. I think its even on during the day.

Mine came in the mail. So I'm off to try the install this weekend. I am not looking forward to jamming RCA cables through the firewall. Do I just load up with KY jelly on my wires. Literally squirt the stuff in the firewall and jam hard....

Anybody think that on the module you could hook up a third camera to the 6 volt connection? Looks like most cameras are 12 volt.

Why if this damn module is so popular are there no videos on YouTube...

You can get some switches that have separate illumination control, but they will still light up whenever you go into reverse.

Did anyone buy a 3rd party camera and have extra shims/gaskets left over that you didn't use? Mine didn't come with any and I would like to adjust the camera viewing angle.

I see the front camera kit is out of stock. Is there an ETA for more? If not, can anyone link me to the switch for the Front and Rear kit as it's out of stock via the site

The Anytime setup? If I remember correctly, there's a relay and soldering, not to mention the switch that must be installed, involved with that one. Too much to do compared to the plug & play RFCC TTG2 that goes for close to the same money and is pretty much plug and play except for the camera and that's pretty easy since they give you the crimp connectors for the camera power wiring. Running the camera wiring took me probably 30 minutes and hooking up the RFCC TTG2 took half that. And I wasn't in a hurry. You can't go wrong with either one but I like the RFCC TTG2. I apologize for commenting on another product that is a competitor to this threads product. I'm just giving my opinion.

Connect the ground wire of the switch to dimmer ground in the dash. The switch has a resistor built in that sets max brightness so if you don't want to mess with the dash wiring you could either swap that resistor out or put another 1/4w 10k inline on red2 or black.

@Tacoma3rdGen Im I’m looking at installing mine today. What do you need to do for the built rear camera? Do you need to connect any power or video? Thanks much!

The rear camera will “just work” as normal when connecting the jumper harness, no action required on your part. That means you will have the RCA and red/black wires for the rear camera unused, so you may want to cover those for wire short protection. I used heat shrink wrap/tube over those connections.

Installed mine today but had issues. The switch would show only one cam on either front/rear toggle. I tried different configurations with the RCA and same thing. I’ll either have only rear showing or only front showing. I waited a few seconds to see if it would change over since some of you said it lags but it never changed over. Leads me to believe that the switch or relay was wired up incorrectly by accident by the vendor. I contacted vendor with pix of switch and relay just awaiting his reply.

Edit: Found issue. It was my mistake. I accidentally connected relay ground to switch ground and didn’t connect either to ground lol

I think it was the Car Rover but Amazon has quit selling it. Just get one that mounts like you want and has the yellow rca video out and + and - power wires out. And get a decent resolution. Mine is either 420 or 520 lines of resolution and it's fine. If the wiring isn't long enough, you can always extend them. I had to extend my power wires.

This is the style of camera I have.
