If you're into buy once, cry once.

Alu Cab Shadow all day every day. Large, lightweight and built like a tank. And no support legs needed. It's like a hard shell rtt vs soft shell imo. Quick, easy and awesome.

Had the rhino rack foxwing and it was ok, just not a fan of having to deal with the legs. They did update it so the legs stay in the main package instead of having them separate.

And there's the one self supporting from south America that's out there... @Gramps has that info...i think. Looks neat.

I did see that, looked like he might have broke a collarbone by the way he was holding his arm.

I had mine out in steamboat when it suddenly started to get windy. There are straps inside each wing tube, just pulled two of them out and tied them to the picnic table it was over. I was more worried about the roof rack on the topper, the awning was completely fine. It's insanely simple and well built yet lightweight.

I setup the rhino rack on the calmest day after getting to the top of Morrison Jeep Trail. Out of nowhere a little gust happened...there hadn't been any wind in hours. It flipped the awning inside out, breaking two of the plastic hinges, it wasn't tied down. (They do come with a couple spare) it wasn't much wind, and the alu cab wouldn't have needed to be.

A telling sign is I dont think I've ever seen one for sale used, nothing more needed once you have one.

When Toyota doesn't know how to drill holes so you can't mount your roof rack :violent:

That looks doable. Have you tried putting a bolt in there?

@Stig I made the mistake of trying these on at the store. I am tempted to order a pair online now.

Yup, messed up the threads on one trying to finagle it in there. Will have to drill the cab to make room for the bolt to go in

Argh, just went and checked my ash trees out front, they’re hosed. Damn emerald ash borer, trees look like Swiss cheese.

I then tried the original crocs but didn’t like them. These new ones though I can see myself owning a pair.

Based on my experience, I think DT will price match any tire they carry that is listed on Amazon. I had the exact tire on Amazon on my smart phone. I'm slightly bummed as the day before, the tires were $92ish @ Amazon, but they day I locked in my price, they had risen to $105ish. The next day they were $122ish. So... if you see an unbelievable price on Amazon, do not expect it to last, and if you are not going to buy from Amazon, beat feet toot suite over to DT to get them to price match. HTH.
