Today, I’ve been researching what suspension mods sharpen & improve cornering for a 2wd Taco.
I’ll say, there is a CRAP-LOAD on lifting & dropping, but not near as much on actual street handling ...
    hahahahaha

    It looks like:
    Stiffer sway bar/end links
    Front Shocks
    Rear struts

    My present plans:
Fix front bumper alignment (passenger bracket is mangled, so ordered a new pair. Then, see if more damage underneath)

KC foglight set- hanging from the bumper, partially inset into the lower valance inlet.

Light 16” steel rims (found some 19 lbs, which are in alloy range)
Performance A/T tires (BFG Advantage T/A Sport recommended, then will see how those last)

Chrome front 2wd bumper (assuming the brackets I ordered make the dented bumper I have line up correctly

    LCE header,
possibly add a Masterflo muffler into stock exhaust (if not too rusty)
Intake seems to be good stock

    Suspension
    -Sway
    -Shocks/struts (Bilsteins? KYB? Koni?)
    -Stiffer front springs?

    Paint?
I so want to paint it yellow (with looking to possibly make a Pizza Planet Truck homage in the future)
But, based on the level of exposed paint, it will probably stay garnet (Sunfire Red).

I’m in Myrtle for the elite series fishing tourney but scooter I will try to get ya a picture of the homemade scraper I used for the padding and stables. Almost like an old straight faced garden ho. I put an edge on it and it zips the stables off flush. Pull the tack strips and glue Golden. Did my whole house using it and it worked perfect.

I have a long handle scraper you’re welcome to use if you need it. Pretty sure it’s this one:

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Bully-Tools-Floor-Bully-6-in-Flooring-Scraper-91300/100188949

I bought it maybe 12 years ago when I pulled up some floor in my house in Cali...used it that one time and it’s traveled with me since. o_O

It's 80 here currently. Luckily the fans (4) are pushing hit air from one end of the house to the other.

What dan posted is pretty much what mine looks like. Pretty sure mine is from like the 60s with an oak handle. Same principle and design though, works great.

Based on the condition you wouldn’t know it has that many miles though.

Wish I had the funds, I’d scoop it up.
