When it comes to money. Buggies are like paling water back into the boat. Look how many wiring, mechanical problems my buggy has had. The BK built gold Rush. Has double the money in it and still has alot of bugs. Watch all the buggy and U4 races and see all the problems. Companies like Polaris etc have millions invested in the designs. That's why he was saying get one of those.

Wish I’d have bought my RZR sooner instead of dropping all this cash in my Taco. RZR is so much more fun to wheel...

Now I’m so far gone on my Taco that if I decide not to keep it, I’d have to find the right buyer as it sits or strip it as far as I can and trade it in.

My plans are to just eventually lighten it down by pulling all the steel off and keep it as a driver that can recover the RZR if needed.

Yup. If your goal is to spend time actually wheeling and going places get a UTV. Building a ...anything...is more about the time spent building then actually using it. It's a complete black hole. I bet I have 50hrs or shop time for every hour that I've gotten to spend actually playing with my toys.

The UTV market is amazing right now. They're literally selling race ready rigs right off the showroom floor that are capable of going almost anywhere. And you don't need a 3/4 ton diesel and a 8klb trailer to haul them.

The Polaris RS1 is definitely in my future. Single seat, non turbo $12k and capable of doing anything a sane person should.

My RZR is lifted...but I kept it reasonable. You can see that I don’t have extreme angles in the suspension.

I really just need a proper cage to feel confident in my or my passengers safety in anything other than a flop.

Does that model come with a little lift on it from the get go? I know it comes with more stuff than the basic xp 1000 like I’ve been eyeballing.

It does come higher than the standard XP but @OCD 08 and I swapped out the tender springs which put it way the fuck up in the air (about 7” higher). We turned the preload way down and netted about 3” lift from the spring swap.

Yeah I saw he had fuel pump relay issues. IDK call me a gluten for punishment or just from racing circle track cars and knowing something like that is always dumping money into it. I think it would be fun no matter what.

The little RZRs and stuff look fun as hell too. Like mini buggies.

Talking about money when do you want the money for the bash? Also when will they be opening the park up on fri for us to get in?

I’ll definitely be there early on Friday. Check-in at hotel is 3pm but I’ll request an early check in...if park opens sooner, I’ll plan to be there sooner.

What time are you going to be there?

That winch has been a workhorse for you. Now it's really going to be put to the test mounted on the axle like that getting tossed around. Really is a testament to how tough Smittybilt winches really are.
I'll be there Fri. as soon as the gates are open.
