Yup I do, but I’m trying to make it a bit less involved than that lol but I do like that idea.

I think I’ll do that, I’ll go through the back vent windows and the door frame and lash it to the front. I’ll probably pick up more blocks at MEC, I’ve only got 2.

3" lift. $10K in TRD options. Richie's semi-hidden bumper, and soon his Elka suspension
After strapping my tandem kayak to the roof, have some rash where the blocks were. I had a cap at the time, so rear block was on the cap. All the bouncing up at Ardbeg was the contributor to the scuffing, so if you're just on the highway, should be fine.

Coming to stop at a light tonight... slowing down, truck feeling like the gears jumping/not properly shifting, with a decent 'thud' felt right when i come to the rolling stop (last down shift?). happened twice, then obviously stopped when I started recording for the sound :bananadead:

Any ideas? In general I've always felt like there was way too much play in my driveline. I'm due for my first service. Really damn anxious to get the tsb done for gear hunting, shit is unbearable driving around 90-120km.

    good 'ol auto tranny :anonymous:

The tsb's helped mine a bit. I drive around with that button pushed all the time now, it helps. The problem with mine was if i roll through a stop sign then push the gas it slam/bangs into gear n jolts the truck. Ive had 3 tsb's n they didnt get rid of it. Ive just learned to really baby it

    Were you stopping relatively quick?
I've noticed mine do that under heavy braking, apparently it's the engine/trans doing some compression braking

Thanks for the visual but how long is the canoe that's tied down? Are there any downsides for mounting it this way and having such a long overhang at the rear? Just asking since my taco is the first truck in the family as we have had nothing but vans, so there has been relatively little overhang whenever we took the canoe up to Algonquin.

I got a 16'6" langford that i've been meaning to throw on top in the same way

Only issues I've had is once tied down I can't open the tonneau cover lol

It's just a little too close to flip open.
The strap being lose gives enough space

there's been a few posts of something like that happening when under braking. basically the transmission not downshifting fast enough.

See what the dealer says and with update if anything.

Booked for 11am at Milton tomorrow to address the issues and probably do the service. Spoke to a service guy name Sitesh, seemed like he was familiar with the BS and down to help.
