Really appreciate the help and offer. This wasn’t my first rodeo with headlight restoration. I was going at them with 100 grit at one point to no avail. They were toast. You would probably think twice about buying undercarriage parts from the rust belt, but I didn’t think twice about buying used headlights from a vehicle that came from a much, much sunnier place. Live and learn. I ultimately cooked up the set that was on my truck and combined the two. The house now smells like the Dollar Store.

OME AALs done, and added 1 of 2 of my 4# ABC extinguishers with quick release mount. Putting one on the passenger side later this week.

Finally got around to fixing my wiring harness on my fog light, left connector broke and had condensation in the housing. Dried the housing and added a new connector. I also went on Amazon and found battery powered LED light strips for my bed set up!

I finally replaced my foggy headlights with EBay headlights. I sealed them up good with silicone, double layers since I read they’re a pain to install. Install wasn’t that bad. It took almost an hour to do the first one and a half hour for the second one. The Black framed headlights look super good on my black and silver truck. Now my truck looks like it only has 21,000 miles. The driver’s side light looks just as crystal clear as the passenger side. It was just a reflection I guess.

Just dug my ScanGauge out of my toolbox, dropped it in and programmed the XGauge for the trans temp. Haven’t decided where to stick it yet, trying to figure out if I can keep it there without drilling a hole or having cables running over the console.

Fat Bob's lift kit, 30's on stock steelies, lunchbox locker in the rear, and a ton of other general mods and additions to help the utility of the truck for my particular uses.
Finally bit the bullet and made a drawer system in the bed of the truck. First off, Home Depot for supplies!

    IMG_20190405_171249_zpsqg88zdqk_b1d663199acf06de5e16ecc73cc3e8d9e5296053.jpg
Got a bunch of wood (4 sheets. 2 sheets of 3/4" ply and 2 of 1/2" particle) and 6 1*10*6ft common lumber boards. Beyond that, picked up fasteners and angle aluminium. All in at this point a couple hundred bucks.

    IMG_20190406_133845_zpshal2cpxt_630eed48d9e7eccc95f2e85c3774b65809c3be14.jpg
Cut the wood for the bottom around the wheel wells and the factory d-rings. The board against the back wall is also a support.

    IMG_20190406_153131_zpsm0ytdonj_3437055d92aea51a10a52e0c94a1480eeb19ac62.jpg
Next, cut down the common boards to the right height (8 3/4in), made the frame, pocket hole attached the boards to the front board in the previous picture, cut the top sheet, and screwed them into place.

    IMG_20190406_175327_zpsm99kmpsu_d8ef2ab018119aa9baaec6e8dc1ab6d923e661c2.jpg
Built the drawers (19 1/2in wide and full bed length). put temporary blocking boards on each side... this gets addressed this weekend, and it did LOL.

    MVIMG_20190410_185223_zpsjwywtiej_1e466bb49b7f9a923afbe9886a8458acd9e21813.jpg
Took out the side plates and made one piece drawer fronts. The red handles were temporary.

    IMG_20190410_185832_zpsf5sfxy68_10eb04030229168e57a9f2159380acf316234dcf.jpg
Here are the drawers fully extended. No additional changes at the time of the picture.

    IMG_20190414_120542_zpsk6kayq8x_a1f09ad86e7a0e4842600390f6744244cc2cf8ba.jpg
Disassembled everything this weekend. Hit all the wood with Flex Seal, ditched the webbing handles for cutout grips, attached the aluminium angle to the front to protect the top edge, and put a bedrug mat on the top. Currently in talks with Bedrug to get a piece the material in the exact size as the top. The existing Bedrug will be cut to fit the inside of the drawers. Also, fitted and installed turnbuckles to all 4 corners to the d-rings to hold it in place (safety first!). As for the bottoms of the drawers, they slide on flat aluminium bars that are adhered to the bottom wood panels. each drawer has 8 furniture slides on them. Slides perfectly with weight in them. Also, the drawer fronts gently press against the tailgate carpet for a tight, no rattle fit.

The only thing I need to do at some point it hole saw the front corners for a little more access to the front corners. Honestly, it's not that big of a deal at this point in time.
