The stock wranglers are fine, I have offroaded in moderate (more advanced than simple fire roads but nothing black diamond) and never aired down and they performed well. I have probably done more advanced trails than some guys with k02s, wildpeaks etc, don't get me wrong once they wear out I'll get some more aggressive tires but so far they haven't let me down.

The shifting/powerband does suck but nothing to make me feel "miserable" as some say nor do I have any desire to trade in for a 2nd gen as others have done. No vehicle is perfect nor will be including the 4runner or 2nd gen

My most unpopular opinion: love the chrome look, hence why I bought a limited

I still don’t understand the Tacoma chrome hate... I think those folks are jellious of the F150 ranger looks, and try to copy it

I do think that they needed a 8 speed. It would shift a little more but it could be faster of the line and at top end the highway milage would be better...

I'm a first time Toyota owner and couldn't be any more pleased with my 2018 Sport. My only complaint is the fan knob and the 4 wheel drive knob are too similar and side by side. I'm 46 and hoping this is the last truck that I buy. I still dive my 1999 Sonoma most of the time and will continue to do so until the poor old thing passes on to that great big junk yard in the sky.

I did have the throttle lag/gear shifting problem. Update fixed it and it is awesome. Never had a problem with it, I like the tires, seat fits me fine, I put the TRD Pro shocks on for the 2017 and it is great. I really like the truck.

If the 2017 Pro was available with a sunroof I would have purchased it over my TRD OR in a heartbeat.

It bothered me until someone pointed out when you raise the volume on the entertainment screen the bar goes from left to right.. and the radio stations go up and down..

I could care less about the new Game of Thrones and the minor vibration on slow down doesn't really bother me.

    "Could care less"?

That means you could care everything from more than very little up to quite a lot. Big fan of John Snow are we?
