ECGS bushing swap meet

I'll have a needle bearing puller by then and would love to come help out if y'all don't mind. Nothing needed on my rig, but I enjoy the company and learning new things in the process.

Hey guys, I’ll be doing my ECGS bushing, new driver side ball joint and new or cv boot driver side cx axle replacement in the near future. Just need to order parts. Please let me know when you guys are getting together again. We can have it at my home ( long driveway with RV parking on the side ) lots of street parking. I have tools, jack stand and hydraulic jack.

 

Right now we’re planning on Saturday morning the 20th, I’m not the host but I’ll be there and happy to help with your rig. Are you talking about a lower ball joint?

Yup, SaphiraTaco is the host with the most, it looks like two of us are going to be doing ECGS bushings so far I think, with a couple of other Tacoma brothers showing up to hang out and lend a hand

Well overall we had a very productive mod day.
@PugetSoundTaco and @milleniumfu needed ECGS bushings.
Then @milleniumfu did UCA’s and coilovers.
@Enehmee put in Kings up front and fox shocks in the back.
@PacNW_Taco put in some awesome hood struts.
@op9nf came to watch and get inspired
I got extended brake lines and speed bleeders on. More modding for me the next few days.

So... If I threw out being able to host up here in Skagit county. Would we be able to get the tool and maybe a guru shuffled up here? Are there any people vicariously watching this thread that live up north that would be interested? I have myself and two other people that I know that need to get it done. I have a large driveway and 3 shop bays we could work in if it rains. My weekends are pretty booked up with fishing and hunting trips till after Father’s Day so I’m thinking late June early July to give people enough time to get their parts if it can come to fruition. Any thoughts?

 

I have a removal tool and am always happy to help. Been through a few replacements now... I know there are few other removal tools in the area, perhaps closer than I.

You can rent a racing set from say, Autozone or similar for free (refund upon return). The caveat to that is sometime they're marred up and can damage the seal when setting the bushing in place. Alternately, there's a guy on FB that makes a polymer and metal setting tool for this job; $65 shipped (JSTBT8). *I don't know anyone who's used this yet*

 

Dang, I missed this.. need to put in the bushing too. I even have the tool as well lol..
