That’s a fucking good looking truck man. Those look like 40s in those pics. Killer

Now you need duals. And armor.

    And lockers.

    Unless you don’t wheel.

Sliders are bent and tacked. Just have to weld em up. Skids are sitting in the garage. Waiting on exhaust re route. Have gears coming. Has the factory E locker. Gonna leave the front open to try and not blow up my CVs. I'll be ordering a TacoBox as soon as they have them available for the MT again.

Sounds like a rad plan. Make a custom super high clearance front bumper. Rear too.

As for not locking the front to save CVs- only shitty drivers blast cvs all the time. Crawlbox will make it even better.

Trust me, once you have a front locker, you’ll never go back. My front locker on my 1st gen is such a huge help for me. Never broke a cv on my 2nd gen on 37s. Tons of hard wheeling. Just need to be a gentle driver and know when to let off. And when to juice it

I may lock the front in the future. Gonna see how well it does with ATRAC.

I had lt so I didn’t have to. But the best way to do it is to cut cut cut, out your tire on, with the coilovernout and cycle it completely. See what tube, cut it, donthay until you clear fully and leave yourself some extra room for bushing flex and hard impacts. Then seal it all up

Nah, not big enough. I think I'm going to step up to 40s at some point.

Put new wheels on the truck. Went from a 3.5" BS to 3". Got me off the frame but now I'm gonna have to tub a little more. At lock and compression I'm hitting the firewall. Kinda expected that though.

I’m fairly new to welding. I’ve only done a few small projects, an off road trailer, and my flatbed.

I was able to weld the sheet metal no problem. Forming the panels on the other hand? I simply did not have the knowledge or patience to do it. My buddy (he’s banned so I won’t bother to tag him) formed and fitted the panels, then I finished welding them in later.

It’s good to have a second person around. That factory seam sealer is quite flammable...

Understatement. That stuff is like napalm. I almost burned my truck down because of it.

Whats the backspacing on your wheels? What size spacer?

Yeah, that stuff is no joke.

4” BS. 3/4” spacer. 17” Jegs brand steelies with TMI weld on beadlocks.

They JUST clear the calipers up front.

It’s probably already been covered, but another thing to consider.

Mine had to be cut so far back by the body mount, that it got into the vertical structure of the cab.

I cut out patch panels for that part from 1/8” plate. I used neat trick that @Blackout14 told me about. I put duct tape over the holes, traced them with a sharpie, cut them out with scissors, stuck them to the 1/8” plate, traced them onto the plate, then cut them out with the plasma.

The 20 gauge is welded right to the 1/8” plate patches at the bottom.

Hopefully, within the year. I need to stop playing with the truck and get the house ready to sell...

And another, another thing, five lug fenders fit our trucks if anyone doesn’t already know. They don’t have fender flare holes.

I ditched the snorkel and did a cowl intake. I bought the five lug fenders on Rock Auto for like $40 each.
