0623FDBA-0666-48ED-BD1C-DBD4A7B9B7BD.jpg I think this partial qualifies. Haven’t even picked it up from the place that wrapped it yet as I’m currently at a brewing/distilling seminal several states away in Denver Colorado..

I will add that I also have a GMC Savana that was wrapped in 2012 and looks today like it did when I picked it up, so the 3M vinyl does hold up.

Interesting, I've definitely been trying to stay on top of keeping it clean, and always hand washing it. But it also probably helps that underneath my trucks vinyl it's a very similar color. I'm sure that the white pops out pretty badly underneath the anthracite... Before I added sliders I got some Knicks in the black rocker panel vinyl from ski boots and it sticks out a lot more than if it were all similar colors. Those pics are excellent regardless though

The guys that did mine used Avery and told me they're similar in durability but 3M is a little bit more difficult to work with. Hopefully mine holds up like yours has been!!

I was able to get mine done through my buddy's shop. Did the hood since I was putting a rack on and wanted something covering it. Don't think it will actually do anything but looks cool. Then I let my buddy do what he wanted with the hood, and this is what he came up with. The wrap is holding up well through the winter here in SLC and all the salt.

    Why not?
People like to customize their stuff. To each their own.
I can for sure understand that amount with the cost of materials for a full wrap, plus the labor. Depending on the shop they most likely have one guy doing the full job.

Most shops charge around $400-$600 for the work done on my truck, luckily for me my buddy owns his own custom shop.

Because the color I wanted wasn't available in the configuration I wanted, so I was forced to choose between wrong color or wrong truck.

    None as of yet
if you do it yourself material costs will be a few hundred to maybe a grand for a whole truck. Stuff is not cheap and takes skill to apply right. I wrapped the engine cowling on my boat myself and that was about $100 in materials from Amazon and massive learning curve. I can also say 3M and Avery both hold up great to the Arizona heat and sun (used both on it)

There is a LOT of work and skill involved in a wrap. If you want to see some amazing stuff go to YouTube and search "competition car wraps" The guys that know how are wicked fast and really know how to make glass.

Too bad we can't do something like this to the underside and not have it hold the moisture in.

Why the underside and who would see it without a creeper?

I had the hood wrapped in matte black on my old 4runner. called a couple local ships to see about getting the Tacoma done and was quoted $350-400 which seems insane. I think I paid $200 only 5 years ago to have the 4runner done

I did both sides with graphics, had the web address added to the rear and had them make a nice TRD Sport windshield graphic. The value of that was $1400.00 but we bartered it out since I also own a HVAC Company. It’s a moving billboard in my case that makes the phone ring. This Friday I’m having the wife's RAV4 done to advertise her day-care-center. It’s also a write-off business wise.

I have had lots of folks notice mine since I did it so it works for me. Your mileage may vary.

Most places around Northern Virginia area want 350-475 (from his questions, pretty sure the 350 guy doesn't know what a Tacoma looks like, especially with OEM roof rack! Lol)
Every other place indicated no sweat to do until they realized or looked one up and saw the shark fin...price jumped.

Yeah agreed that seems kinda high. Maybe material costs? Honestly If I were to just to a section of hood I'd do it myself because the hood is so flat and easy to wrap. Think of it like a big iPhone screen protector! XD
