Thought I saw it somewhere but can't locate it.

If I want to cut the cord on the S2's prior to the connector, is that a warranty killer? I'd seen on BD's website that you could do so on the lights with the moisture block if it was cut after the block

but see nothing about the lights like S2 which don't have that feature.

I'm doing an in mirror install for ditch lights, and the room inside the housing is going to be tight. May be a little hard to fit the cord and connectors inside the housing, there is no way to fit a connector through the run it has to go through to get into the door, and the lead seems just short of long enough to disassemble the connector, feed it though, and reassemble the connector.

I can understand it happening if it has been on for awhile but like I said, mine have only been on since just after Christmas, so not too much sun yet! My buddy got a BD lightbar during the same time and I could see from looking at his it's looking purple as well. I'm gonna check his squadrons and see if they look like mine do.

Weird they have faded so quick..but hopefully, I can get a new set that lasts a bit longer...

I have a bunch of squadrons and S2s on my truck and haven't had an issue with their faces fading after a year plus. Just my RTL and I assume my newer S8 on the roof will have a similar fade. Doesn't hurt anything, just gets discolored by the UV.

I wanna say in my squadron sports I read in the instructions/brochure that came with the lights that you can cut the connectors off. I sure hope so because I cut mine off haha

Found it. It’s in their limited lifetime warranty. 4th line down.

I'm not sure what I'm seeing now. I see the video on moisture block, and it shows S2's on the table with a moisture block lead clearly on the light. Now that I'm digging into it deeper, I'm seeing photos of S2's with moisture block, but two pairs of new S2 sports sitting in front of me don't have it. I've got a couple sets of S2 Pros on the way (decided to go with the brighter light), so don't know if they have it.

Is this something we are just getting on the "pro level" lights, or do I have an older set of S2 sports here that don't have it?

Confused. It's not just a warranty thing, but also a performance thing. I don't want to throw on a costly set of lights to essentially bypass a performance feature of the light.

You should be able to find spools of automotive wiring at Lowes or Home Depot. Last time I was at HD I recall seeing a few options (color and gauge).

    Squadron + S2 | 16
    XL80s, S8, OnX6 40" | 12
    Rock Lights | 18

Depending on the length of wire you're running, you might need to upgrade the above. This is just what we recommend :)

    My apologies about any confusion.

You CAN cut the connector off without voiding your warranty. The moistureblock is located where the cord enters the housing of the light. Previous moistureblock designs had the block partway down the cord. This limited how much you could shorten the cord without voiding the warranty.

Feel free to cut the connectors off and shorten the cord

@Baja Designs Thanks for he feedback regarding the wire gauge.

Here is another one for ya.
Got a link to or thread in which people have shared how they mount the 40” or any size Onyx to behind the wind fairing?

I have searched and I am coming up empty handed.

Anyone in here running the LP9s on their truck for trail lights? I've been considering rigging up a set of ARB Intensity lights on the crossbar on my bumper but I've been so impressed with my Squadron Sports I'd love to stick with BD.

I’m not, but I’ve seen a set in person. They are HUGE and BRIGHT. I would go with those, hands down, over the arb. Even though I haven’t seen those in person.

I've definitely seen it done before but can't for the life of me find detailed photos. It appears the included OnX6 brackets will bolt right down to the crossbar. There is some adjustment in the included brackets. If the lightbar sits too low, you may need longer hardware and a spacer under the mounting brackets

@Baja Designs any plans for a dual brightness amber rock light for use as a running light/turn? I’ve got a little project going that could really use some lol.

No plans at this time, sorry. I've seen them used as turn signals but not with a dim "running light" setting.

Yeah I looked as well. Could not find it.
The brackets supplied would work, mounted to the top or bottom of the crossbar, but it would not line up with the light at cutout on the Prinsu. It would be sitting way above or below.
It almost looks like a straight 90 degree L bracket would line it up straight off the front of the bar.

Are you guys using DelCity Primary wire in your lights? Was thinking about just ordering wire from them.
