You would think for cravenspeed price it wouldn't scrape gauge faces and rub. But, it's what were offered. My current set up is an improvement based on theirs.

I suppose they cant make the mount truly universal though. Some modifications will always be required.

Well I just got one new shock and new custom knuckle in today. Wasn’t to bad. I can’t believe how much play is in our CV joints though.

    DBF900BA-A09D-4917-9F6F-2499246E0FAD.jpg

So I shorten my knuckle so my light racing UCAs sit better.

    Thanks @Torspd for your help!

Solution to this issue: I added a thin washer, and the buttons still rubbed. The mounting bolt from craven isn't very long to begin with, and I wanted to keep the few threads that were engaged in play. Took the gauge apart and the buttons come out pretty easily. Sanded them down a hair and a half, and no more rubbing.

Truck sounds great now. Less insulting than with the Aero Turbine muffler and the design coupled with the thicker 2.5" piping has helped free up a slight bit more of power in the low/ mid rpm range.. I'm happy!

Well.. 2.5" piping is plenty for my intended power levels. Good to 500HP actually.

If it was an 800HP monster hell yeah I would, but at the levels we are at that's pretty trivial to me. I do love their look, but I can't justify it.

Mine was pretty cheap actually :anonymous: just had to supply the mufflers.

By cheap I mean in comparison to prices I’ve gotten in the past on the simplest of exhaust jobs.

How much did you pay? And where did you get it done at that?

What's the problem with Aero Turbine mufflers?

I want to say 600. Went all the way to Petaluma for it.

I had a previous job I wanted done in Walnut Creek where I just wanted an FJ Cruiser muffler put on my 4Runner. Lower profile and shorter than mine. Bolts right up but all it requires is a 2” section of pipe welded on. Got charged over 200 for that. 20 minutes of work. As opposed to my mandrel exhaust that took over 7 hours.

I got bored of the sound, I wanted a different tone and felt like the exhaust could use better scavenging properties.

I should read up on exhaust and scavenging, heard of it but don't know anything about it. I just put a 3" from turbo back + Aero Turbine/Resonator on mine so was curious about your gripe

I’ve read that a few times, I have no interest in going that far down the rabbit hole just for a limited slip front end lol.

Just have to drill ring gear holes out 1mm for larger bolts and it goes in like everything else, doesn't seem crazy to me

It's not a bad setup by any means. Hell I enjoyed mine for over 5 years pretty much but for my power levels I just felt like there was some power being left off the table due to the size of the piping from the Y and rearward and the muffler design.
