How much rain/snow does that suck in facing forward? What does the intake do with that moisture?

My 2nd gen one isn't noisy at all that I notice. Then again, a lot of people that have them already have a roof rack, bigger tires, etc. so at some point, new noise doesn't register anymore.

It is connected to entune, so when daylight savings comes and goes, it rotates accordingly.

Not sure how the TRD one works, but the arb, dobinson, etc ones vent the moisture below the head with a few slots.

Weird. I don’t see anything in that diagram that would filter out moisture. What am I missing?

The moisture can't make the 90* bend, so it impacts the back of the scoop, and there is a gap between the intake tube and the head tube where it is marked drain slots. Flows right out the bottom.

    Hmmm,

I gotta see the white paper on that. My bathroom fan has a 90 degree bend in it and the moist air goes right out with no dripping.

I think that diagram might be from the imagination of the sales department, but sure.....let’s run with the idea.

I'm guessing that fan air is moving significantly slower than the intake air.

How fast are you driving? Crawling through a swamp you might only be going walking speed. No?

The intake is actively sucking air in though. Think about how fast you are sucking a slurpee straw while standing still. Same concept.

I honestly would like to see proof myself, but I have gone through some pretty gnarly rain and snow storms and the intake filter was dry when I checked because I didn't believe it myself.

Ok. I gotta admit, it’s not something I’ve observed or tested.

Stumbled upon this on the stupid old ‘Gram. You can all find your own way there. Look for trd_pro_tacoma

More proof that the TRD dingus is the best snorkel option on the market and the haters and the ARB guys are just on crack.

Not my truck (bravo to the owner if you’re on here):
