I figured I would wait a couple more weeks depending on how the weather is! If we could get a couple sunny days it would clear up quick!

Yeah it’ll be a bit before the snows gone. It was snowing off and on while I was up there still so we’ve got some time before everything’s passable

I have a VAGCOM, but it only allows three VINs. Also, I think you need an actual tune for the EGR and larger injectors, those usually can't be taken care of with standard coding via VAGCOM (though maybe that is didn'tdif for TDIs?).

Id have to try to borrow his laptop. VAGCOM-lite is tied to the computer he installed it on. I hate VAG COM lol.

The Lite version will only read error codes. It won't even clear them, yet alone allow custom module coding.

Shaming myself to put this in your minds. Think about what you're doing and resist becoming complacent. This almost fell on me because I was lazy and not paying attention to what I was doing. Be safe. Be smart.

Glad you werent hurt! That same sort of thing happened to my dad when he was a teenager. He caused it though. Arm was under the lower control arm on his Alfa and he was pushing and pulling to get something to line up and the car got just enough momentum to fall off the jack (no jackstands) and pinned his arm under the LCA. Thankfully for him he was on a gravel driveway and it had enough give to just pin his arm. But he was stuck there for an hour or so till grandma came home.

What exactly happened (only ask cause i dont see a jack or jackstands)

ps.... Scotts Shop Towels work way better than paper towels :)

My little 3ton jack stands were fully extended and I didn't set my parking brake or chock my wheels. I was trying to get the axle nut loose and it rolled backwards tipping the stands. It came about a foot from crushing my toes with the passenger hub/lca.

That’s one reason I started to do just one side at a time instead of taking wheels off both sides and going to town.

Well this is way worse than me pulling my rear brakes apart only to realize I forgot to order the parts kit with the shoes. Thanks. Also toes are critical to good balance so ......
