ok i know most of you guys are in california but I'm looking for a good tattoo parlor in the SC, NC, GA area. I've got a few simple things i want to have done first. #1 is getting a brand/ attempted homemade tattoo covered up on my ankle. So where/ who do you guys go to get your ink?

and i guess i'll ask to see who might know something about this. how hard is it to tattoo scar tissue? will it hold ink like skin or will the burn still be noticeable?

Well, I live in New Mexico, but the Reverend Charles Cain, is the only tattoo artist that my wife and I go to. He's in Tennessee just west of the NC border. Check out his site and then decide if you want to call him. BTW fixing bad tattoos and doing scar cover-up is a huge part of his business.

My favorite thing about him is he uses no flash or stencils, its all freehand.

i used randy at skin art in gastonia. he is good but i'm ready to try someone else. randy's been in the game a long time and can be kind of a dick. i've heard nothing but good things from 13 roses in atlanta. my buddies go there exclusively and they are pretty damn good from what i can tell.

I branded a tiger paw on my ankle and I'll probably just get one put over it to hide it. I'm gonna need a good artist to do the tiger on my back so I'll probably be giving him a call next summer to get that done.

If you want to get in next summer, you'd better call him today. He's a friend of the family and last time we still had to wait several months to get an appointment. He doesn't do walk-ins.

i like to go in with my design already picked out and tweaked, but alot of good artists hate that cause they like to be able to get fancy and do their own thing or go free hand or whatever. to them, its just tracing if you bring in your design, and you can tell they'd rather be somewhere else the whole time they are inking you. it just sucks
