Just want the Battery to be as healthy as possible.
It’s mentioned in the instructional Flash Video that it’s a general rule the Battery Voltage Should be above 12.0 volts when Flashing.

It takes engine power for both, hence a surge.

    Defrost also uses engine power

I'm not saying it's the tune there pal. It's done it since it was brand new. I think it has something to do with the injector cleaning cycle.

Ya. Normally a minute or so after the idle changes from the injector cleaning cycle.

First 15-20 seconds of idle the ecu targets a lot of ignition retard to heat the catalysts. Normal.

Mat, since we are one idle subject.. Why is the idle at 600 RPMs vs 700( reference is from Toyota's learning idle procedure). Thanks

Can other parts of the ECU be customized? For example, can the ECU be setup for anytime fog lights?

Yep, put yourself in Mat’s shoes. He is one vendor offering something nobody can come close to and he is catering to a huge population of Tacoma owners. He has been very responsive on this forum and has been providing updates left and right. It has to be difficult to manage everything he has going on, but cut the guy a break. He takes passion in his craft and is constantly conducting R&D and offering the fruits of that labor for no extra charge for existing customers.

That still give us 800rpm to work with.

Have you tried 87 performance? I liked the 87 Per. It worked well on my truck 4.88's , 34" tires , full armor front to back and a RTT. I personally really like the aggressive tip in. Just tuned 87 base to see what the MPG difference is from the 87 Per. I gained 2 MPG's city and 3+ highway. But its back to being gutless! Will be going back to 87 Performance soon!

I find my truck doesn't run well on less than premium gas on stock tune, so always have run the highest octane available. Might be different with the tune, but hesitant to fill up with 87. Might try the 91 or 93 mpg tune. I don't mind tip in of 91 Perf. I still think once Mat gets the TCU broke down and gets the custom tune for those of us with gears and tires, is when it will really come together. I will be patient until then and work with what we have.

Try half 87 and half 91 in a tank, that’ll put you at 89 octane. If you can tell a difference you’re a wizard because I sure as hell can’t
