    Sweet thanks. I went with a zamp 160w portable for the rv and it’s cool but I rarely used it. Mainly used the generator last summer so we could run the AC. Glamping at its finest (we lived in it for 3 months last summer)

    Stuck in a internal debate right now, look for some personal opinions. Both looks and functionality.

    What do you guys think of the 3rd gen HC rear from Pelfrey? A few for sale out in SoCal right now from $1100-$1250. The sellers are willing to hold for me until I come through there on my camping trip mid May.

    Also, the SC rear from RCI. Basically just moves my hitch up and give me a steel bumper that happens to look really nice(IMO). Josh was going to help me fab up a dual swing out for it as well.

    My thoughts currently stand at:

    - RCI Bumper is $800 if I buy on sale. Extra maybe $400 for all steel and swing out components. Also like to throw some money to Josh for helping me. Total = $1250 ish

    - Pelfrey bumper is $1200 from the guy I'd buy from. $400 for swing out. I'd have to lug it back from Cali and most likely not camp/stop anywhere on my way back. But I get HC or SC. Total = $1600 ish

    I like the way the RCI looks a lot. Only reason I don't is the lack of swing out option. If you get Josh to fab one on the RCI it would be awesome

    I would also see if Josh can add the wrap around sides too (Supported to frame), you would be surprised how often you hit that area in Colorado.

    That was the original plan but then Josh tagged me in the Pelfrey for sale :annoyed:

    @YamaDirtrider a possibility? Probably at a later date depending on the bumper I decide on. We think at least $200 in steel right now for the swing out. It'll be a stretch to make the money I have from stuff I've sold the last few weeks get that far.

    I would go with HC. For what you're going to spend on standard clearance, it's only a little more money and well worth it for the departure angles IMHO

    I want to say I paid around 1600 for my single swingout from bruteforce built exactly as I wanted...so for what you're looking at spending to modify a bumper, you can probably get a new one built to specs so long as you don't mind waiting.

    Just my 2 cents.

    +1 for a custom ordered brute force (you could also pick one up on your trip, there about 2 hours south of me).

    If the timing works out... you could have them install when you pick it up!

    But I vote HC forsure, I’m also in a DCLB so I want all the clearance I can get.

    What I am leaning towards right now. Just need some more stuff to sell.

    Y'all keep saying get exactly what you want from Brute Force. I would have no clue what to order other than a tight fitting/stream line looking HC bumper.

    I was referring to the options listed. But if you gave them a call they can probably do some more things if you wanted. That way it’s all powder coated together.

    I'm looking at at least $2,000 then for everything I want. Point of buying a HC/SC and building on it was to keep the price down lol

    That being said, the standard BFF HC rear is only $805 without powder coating, which if I'm going to be welding on it would need it not to be powder coated
