    AVS. Added 3hp and 2mpg.
The bugs and the birds love it.

I had forgotten about the birds using it for a roost and crapping on the hood. Thanks for the reminder.

Does the original Aeroskin have the raised portion or is it flat all the way across. I’d like to add one just for paint protection but I’d rather not have the spoiler like the Aeroskin II. Thanks for info if anyone knows

I put them on all my vehicles when new - I usually get a genuine OEM thrown in on the deal (probably made by another manufacturer but fits good and a OEM part number). Our Honda Civic had a large stone bounce off it which left a gouge on the bug shield but missed the windshield was saved. Civic's are famous for getting chipped hoods but mine has very few. These shields can save you a lot of money over the life of your vehicle and don't really look that bad if you get a good one and really not that expensive.

It is flat. If you can find one in matte black that would be the way to go. I had the original Aeroskin (Smoke color) on a 2015 chebby colorado and it showed scratches real bad.

Nothing yet but all around limo tint.
Question guys... do you prefer the smoke or matte black style for both hood and window bug and rain shields? I’m inclining towards matte but haven’t seen many pictures on the matte finish. My Taco is a white TRD off road.

I just looked thru the last 10 pages on the White Tacoma thread and didn't see nary a hood protector on a white truck. LOL! I have the matte black color Aeroskin II "Hood Protector" on my truck.

I ended up getting the Aeroskin II. After an 800 mile trip last month, there were a lot more bugs on my mirrors than on the windshield. That lip on the deflector must be working.

Pick you up a bottle of Protect All back in the RV section at your local Walmart or buy it on Amazon. You can take bugs right off with this stuff. Read the reviews on Amazon. Scott recommends it also.
