There are lots of them out here too and quite a few are clean like mine. They love theirs like I do:) But what also I see almost as much here is the third-gen 4runners and 98% of those are friggin cherry. Those owners really keep those trucks very nice. One time I got a '97 4runner as a loaner at my Toyota dealer while my truck was getting serviced. It had the 3.4. Man that little SUV was fun to drive..just how solid it felt with that shorter wheelbase and everything was tightly built in those days. I can see why those third gen 4runner folks have such love for theirs.

I see many posts on here showing clean trucks and clean engine compartments. There is one thing I always look for as a telltale sign of someone being OCD like myself and yours fits the bill. The one thing is CLEAR brake fluid! I know you maintain your truck properly!

Hell this is the best vehicle including cars that I've ever owned. My '16 Lexus RX350-with that one it's going to take many years to live up to my Tacoma's legend.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
dont see too many 1st gen tacos around here anymore. but when mine wasnt torn into a million pieces every time i stopped someone had to compliment it or offer to buy it..
my fathers 02 gets offers weekly to buy it because its so clean... these trucks are so hard to find and so desirable around here. its crazy

now i still get way more smiles when im driving my tundra around... but thats because of the custom bodywork

was ALL of your truck made in USA?
I believe mine was assembled in USA with just the engine and transmission imported
the new sporty Corolla hatchback is pure imported (I think)

Ridgerunner, I am under the impression that your interior is just as sharp as the outside!
were there pics of that I missed earlier
the only real big issue with my interior is an infected blue gray floormat suffering from clutch-foot-wear-syndrome
... have not been able to find new or like-new replacement yet :(

I still have the truck out so I will try and get some interior pics here. The inside is good for its age. I have some fading sheepskins on the front seats and the seats are still in perfect shape as they've always been covered. The only trouble with the inside is a scratch across the glove box. Be back later with pics:)

tacomas are great because they're not showroom trucks
you can drive the crap outta them and they keep going

    they're trucks after all

i woulda got a corolla if i wanted something shiny and new
it makes me cringe a little when these trucks are pampered beyond belief, poor feller just wants to get dirty!

I definitely had a good ole time this winter plowing through nearly a foot of wet sloppy snow on the city streets here in midwest on multiple weekends.
it snowed every Saturday for 5 weeks in February/March, and then it was all gone in 2 days :( which resulted in flash flooding across nearly half the state
so its not a showroom truck lol ... but I try my best to keep it close
I think critters is a showroom truck!
